Heard on 1050 a Jet was unhappy with the Jets coaching staff. Didn't like how they catered to Brett. Thought they never got any rhythm going, and that they should have given the ball to Thomas Jones more. Said other players felt the same way.
Mr. Anonymous probably grumbled into his Wheaties at the continued Brett Favre love snuggle during this morning's presser.
GIVEN THE BALL TO THOMAS JONES MORE! Thats exactly what should have happened. See we dont have stupid players and a stupid GM. Only a stupid coach, and now he's gone! All the pain was worth it, Mangini is now gone, and that is for the best!
lol, it's true though. TJ was one of the best backs in the league this year and the Jets hardly used him. TJ & Leon were sick this year. When the Jets were winning all those games it was Jones & Leon all day with Favre usually getting less than 200 yards through the air.
You think the Jets' organization would learn you can't cater to players like they did to Law a few years ago, as well as Herm's general lax ways in the locker room. Same Old Jets.
7th in the league in attempts is not being hardly used. If anything I would rahter Leon get more attempts and TJ stay at about that lvl.
There will always be those whispers in any locker room then when the new coach comes in we'll hear what a refrshing change it is until they tune him out but then when the next coach comes in we'll hear what a refreshing change for the team until they tun him out and it will keep going and going. We are back to being the pre-'97 Jets.
How unusual for a player to deflect blame to the coaches rather than take accountability for their own failures.
I also thought about Coles, but I dont think he'd stay anonymous. Baker has learned to keep his name out of it.
LOL!! he hates the cs it has to be him. coles also gets some consideration cuz he just doesnt know how to shut up
It wasn't so much his overall number of carries on the year or his overall stats for the year that is at issue - it's the fact that they completely neglected him in crucial games when they really needed to get the running game going. But yes, Leon should have gotten the ball much more often also.
Put the ball in the hands of your Pro Bowl RB's (TJ and Leon) to win more. What an amazing concept. It was obviously too sophisticated a philosophy for the (previous) coaching staff to understand.
