Thanks to the Jets for a great game. It had me sweating right up to the clock reading 0:00. I have to be honest, I was rooting almost as badly for the Pats to be knocked out as I was for the Phins to get in. Now, points about this game that make it oh so sweet. 1) The Phins MAKE the Playoffs after a 1-15 season. 2) Pennington and Phins fans had to listen all year about how he just couldn't get the job done. 3) Parcells is a football god. 4) The Pats MISSED the Playoffs after going 16-0 last season. 5) Neon Deion looking like he just drank spoiled milk after he guarranteed the Pats would make the Playoffs. 6) Chad got to prove categorically that he is a better QB in 2008 than Brett Favre. Again, thanks to the Jets for a great game. and thanks to Jets fans for being so much classier than Pats fans. Actually, I have to apologise for that last comment. The average chimpanzee has more class than the average Pats fan, so I might be accused of damning with faint praise. In all seriousness, I've had a pretty good experience on this board, to it and its fans credit. Cheers.
Don't thank us, we didn't play the game. We would rather have seen your entire team spontaneously combust. This sucks.
All you Fins fans who came over here to make fun of Chad's arm strength and say how terrible he was for all those years while Jet fans defended him better take it and stick it. Congrats though.
I think we're all frustrated. I don't know who's meaner looking. Your picture of Clint or Allan1's picture of Cowher.
Thats not how I remember it My memory is that Jets fans were his worst critics If anybody needs to 'take it and stick it', its the folks in the NY media. Next time we get a decent quarterback, heres hoping those assholes dont run him out of town.
We'll most likely lose to Baltimore. But considering what this season has already provided, I'll be happy if we just don't embarass ourselves. Seriously, when you find Anglina Jolie in your bed, are you REALLY going to complain that she didn't bring Jessica Alba with her?
when you play a last place schedule you have to take advantage....they did that...next year they place a first place schedule and will have to play at a higher level than they did this year
UH NO!!! Their schedule was already made before they took first place. Also we played 14 of the same games, they were 11-3, we were 7-7, schedule had nothing to do with the out come. BRETT FAVRE SUCKED!!!
you have a point -- us having chad would not have made a difference since chad wouldn't have played 16 gamed - you know Kellen would have seen some starts Farve sucked the last 5 games....we were 8-3 and looking amazing---the last 5 the play calling was awful, the coaching was weak, and farve looked like a qb with a dead arm at times
We'll probably have a bit of a letdown next season, but not a huge one. I actually tink that schedule was only a part of our success. We also had very few serious injuries. We only lost three key starters all season. Then again, we get another year of Parcells and Company working the Draft and Free Agency. Considering what he accomplished in one season, I'm DAMNED excited for the off season.
Fins are lucky to get the Ravens. I think both teams are playing WAY over their heads. I'd like to see either play Indy or another good team. Problem is, Pitt is probably the only other good team in the AFC. But whatever. Good for Chad and the Fins. They're a much better run team than the Jets. But Chad, bless his soul, is still a noodle armed dink and dunker. I loved the man as a Jets QB, and he remains the ultimate team player and one of the best interviews in sports (he's a smart fella). But even in hindsight, I don't want that broken QB leading my team. They may beat Baltimore, but that team ain't going any further than that. Chad is limited and broken, and anyone watching those rainbow dinks and dunks can see that clearly.
