While Mangini could have coached better, the fact that Favre was absolutely atrocious in every one of our loses makes it pretty obvious who takes more of the blame.

    Ok...

Pennington struggled with Mangini and Co. We blamed him.
Clemens didn't even bloom under Mangini and Co. We blamed him too.
Now, Favre struggles with Mangini and Co. Do we blame Favre too?

Razor of Okam says, it's that fat penguin instead.

Mangini in a landslide. Going into the half with 1 time out?? Should have called the TO with :22 left on the clock. Could have had 2 shots at the endzone.

    Blunders against the seahawks.

    God damn it.

Favre. Mangini's coaching probably didn't include "overthrow a wide open Stuckey and hit Andre Goodman in the chest."

Um....Pennington won CPOY under Mangin and Co.

Clemens won all 4 of the teams games last year, should have won more, and did it with injuries and shittiness all around him.

Favre had a hot and really, really cold season.

It's all the spin you put on it.

I blame everyone, but mostly I think let minor success (2 victories) get to their fuckin head. You'd think motherfuckers would realize that this is their job and can easily be gone tomorrow.

Pennington won the Week 3 game. He threw 2 TD passes and ran for another.

    1. Pennington winning CPOY: Gimmicks may get you by once or twice, but won't keep you alive. After that magical first year, Schottenheimer was spent.

    2. Clemens was 3-5 last year, didn't even win 4 (That 4th victory came from Pennington, who was 1-7). What is it that you are smoking? Spread the wealth - I need some of that stuff bad, on a day like this. On top of that, 3-5 record is not the kind of record you want to write home about. Sign of struggling? Possibly.

    3. Rather, 3rd and short shotgun calls, or not establishing the reliable running attack on a regular basis can put any QB in a bad position - that cannot be 100% on Favre. It's not even like Jets passing attack was finding success with spread formation like Patriots did.

CP gets out of here. He has a career year. A MVP-runner up along with a ton of talent comes in. Has the 2nd worst year of his career. What else than coaching, schemes and playcalling can that be ?

One more reason for Brett's downfall in the last 5 games in the missing preparation in the offseason, he did nothing like 2007. Did not have the strength and conditioning for a whole season.

Than he shouldnt have fucking played the whole season. He should have been benched like 2 weeks ago. Sounds outrageous? So did his playing. Awful.

Probably right. Coaches decision, isn't it ? Losing with Clemens is easier to stand....

I blame other things more then those two. I only see two options though. So...

My middle finger goes to.. In this order..

    1. OC - DC - Playcalling is the worst I have seen in a very long time.

    2. Patriots - Nothing needs to be said.

    3. Bill Parcell - Way to make CP make the Jets look like complete idiots. Yet again.

    4. Myself - (You ever get this feeling the Jets' would be good if you were a fan of another team. Like, your team is fucked because you like them, and your luck is so shitty that the only possible answer that could exsist is that, you, are the biggest jenks to this team ever, so, therefore it is your fault?)

    5. Media - I personally blame them for getting into the players heads and making them believe that this team was more then it actually was. All NY Superbowl? Pffftt.. We can't even get into the playoffs.

    6. Mangini - Grow a pair. You have done some good but seriously, GROW A PAIR!!

    7. Favre - You have been an amazing QB. I love the excitement I got from you being behind center as a Jet. You are not the long term solution. Please retire. Thanks.

What the heck is that? Is this team a bunch of pussies or something?

Was the media out there on the field throwing incomplete passes and missing tackles and wasting timeouts and not going for it on 4th down and what not?

How come the media affected the Jets? It didn't seem to bother the Giants. They won when they had to and secured the #1 seed in the NFC. Press clippings didn't seem to bother the Titans, Steelers, Colts, Eagles, and some others.

The Eagles had to deal with as much crap as anybody this season and all they did was go 4-1 down the stretch.

Was that a serious question? I look at that as a retorical question.

Oh and for your arguement. Ummm... How many players were complaining that the media had swayed their morale a certain way? Got their heads lost in a bunch of bullshit hype. Look at the timeline, the media started hitting the Jet bandwagon hard after the Tennessee game, right?

When did the Jets' collapse start?

Was that after or before the Tennessee game? I'm leaning more towards the after. The game of football is all about mental toughness and how you react to situations. Obviously a lot of De' Jet's players/coachs reacted poorly to the hype, slump, collapse that followed the Tennessee game.

Awesome! That about sums it up. I often threaten my boss that I will become a Steeler fan just so they start to suck too...

No, it was a question in which I wanted you to answer.
Do you really think the Jets are of such weak minds that the media affected their play in December?

Anyone who thinks Favre is the primary reason this team turned out the way it did is delusional and doesn't understand football. The Jets simply should've run the ball more, especially since for a long time we had the AFC leading rusher, and his backup is one of the most explosive players in the NFL. Notice when they had the running game going the best the Jets were at their best this season.

With that said, I hope Favre retires.
