Chad Pennington lost me as a fan on the day he ranted and raved against the media that day. Do any of you remember it? It went something like, "It's a privilege to cover the New York Jets!" One of the media guys pointed out in a column how privileged he felt to be chasing Herm Edwards around at 5:00 am at the Jets complex, etc.

Look, I loved Chad when he first took over the team after Vinny T. But he slowly became a prima donna. Did anyone see in the paper today how Chad was all teed off at Mangini because he wasn't anointed the QB after Mangini's first season?

Does that sound like a team player? And Chad was still peed off after he was benched, when the Jets went 1-7 while he was "leading" the team.

You guys can cheer for the guy all you want. Love him as much as you like. I won't criticize you personally. But I am entitled to my opinion about Chad Pennington and I am allowed to express it.

Wow, that's a great reason for hating Pennington. Wish I had thought of that! :breakdance:

Well I hope jets fans cheered for Chad after the game because he tried his best when he played for the jets, but during the game I could understand if jets fans were not cheering for him.

I had more respect for Jets fans when they were cheering the flashers in the rampway during halftime.

I know, I know... Most of you hate the media. You hate the daily press. But in these press conferences, the press represent the fans. The beat writers are supposed to ask the questions we'd like to ask after a game.

And if you want your star QB crapping all over you during a presser? Good for you.

And if you want a QB with a swelled head who thinks he "deserves" to lead the team after going 1-7? Good for you.

Are you "privileged" to be a Jets fan? Are you supposed to shut up and never criticize the team? Are you supposed to cheerlead at all times?

Almost no one on this message board would put up with that kind of attitude from a Jets player, much less root for him afterwards.

    But do what you like.

The amount of cheering for the Dolphins in the stadium was nauseating. If you were at the game and you were cheering for the phins, you suck.

It was mostly Fish fans cheering. There were just a lot of them. There were a lot of tickets available for this game. Obviously, season ticket holders are going to take a lot of the blame, but some of the fans who live close by could have easily bought some of the tickets instead...

I cheered Chad when he first came on the field, and that noise turned into cheering on my defense. Then the rest of the game, I spent yelling at Chad, telling him that he sucked as a Jet and he sucked as a Fin, and I rooted my ass off for us to jam him on the line during wildcat. Nothing made me happier than seeing Bowens shove him on the ground the one time we hit him.

But then at the end, I went down near the tunnel and cheered the hell out of Chad. I felt kind of sick doing it, but he was a good Jet, and I'm glad he's playing well.

If anything, I'd rather see Chad and the Dolphins get in the the Patriots.

Another season without a title for Seau. That fuckstick was celebrating tackles like he was still an All-Pro. Fuck him and Belly and Cassel.
