How can you still sit here and say that he is better than penny

Look at the stats today, same weather same everything. Favre got torqued.

Look at the wins, hey we lost and chad is going to the playoffs

Dont say it was coaching because those int were his fault and was not coaching at all

Favre is washed up and should have retired. ADMIT IT, we would have been better with penny

Oh he's far better then Penny, it's not even a question. Penny is a third yard QB. He's the product of an easy schedule and everything breaking right. He isn't in the same stratosphere as Favre as a QB and will lose 30-3 next week, throwing 2 yard passes.

what is a third yard Qb?

and i dont feel like looking up the stats, but brett had no deep game either, id be willing to bet that chad had more deep passes that were actually COMPLETED

Penny's coaches is far superior to ours, Penny didn't look much different from when we had him, if he was playing against a competent defense he wouldn't have done very well at all.

we would've been one and done too.

the fact of the matter is....after the Niners killed us...our season was done. And Penny would've made it worse...book it.

If farve was in his prime, yes, but we need to take off the green colored glasses. Some Jets fans were the only ones in the country who thought Favre played better than Penny this year. And I was not against changing QBs away from Pennington, even for Clemens, so I am just as guilty for not anticipating his good year.

WTF are you talking about? Penny didn't look much different from when we had him? This season was for Pennington was the kind of season Jets fans were expecting every year after his breakthrough 2002 season. Dolphins and Jets played 14 of the same games, yet Pennington had a great year and Favre had a terrible year, care to explain how the schedule was the difference?

You can only speculate on what we would have done with Penny, just as I can speculate we would have been better with him.

Here is what we do know, FAVRE SUCKED!!!

I expect the Ravens to win next week too, but I can't see how you can make a statement like this. With everything laid out in front of the Jets, Favre had 2 TDs and 9 INTs in the last 5 games, while averaging less than 6 yards per pass attempt. He was completely awful as his team went 1-4. During the same time period Pennington had 8 TDs and 1 INT , while averaging almost 7 yards per pass attempt, as his team went 5-0.

He had 8 games in sunny Miami instead of windy Meadowlands, his coaches also knew how to use him better or should I say cover up his deficiencies so that it doesn't plague him like it plagued us year after year with him which is why even with weaker talent he was better than any years with the Jets. Our playbook was also putrid this year, other than a 5 game streak it was full of an erratic identity, no WRs getting open at all, horrible use of our key playmakers and complete lack of toughness in our gamecalling. Penny would have stood no chance as our QB, Miami didn't have many good players at all but they sure did know how to use them well.

It's funny- a lot of the Penny bashers said the main reason the Jets made the playoffs in 06 was because of the easy schedule. This year, the Jets play a bunch of weaklings (the gauntlet of San Fran, Seattle, and Buffallo is scary!) and people still talk about Chad and the easy schedule.
