Jets' gave the fans alot of good moments & Brett gave the offense a positive jolt. I myself enjoyed more Sundays, than was I pissed off. Jets will build off of this season, & strengthen more weak spots. Jets' also have fewer holes to fill than last season & thats a plus. Hopefully they add a necessary F.A. or 2 & make a good draft. Here's to next season...
Sorry but I can't agree. This is looking to be among the top 5 Jet collapses of all time. Seeing the Pats and/or Dolphins sneak in due to our choke is just the icing on the cake.
yup...im going to have to disagree also on this one....jets did not have a good season...i would say that if they made the playoffs on their own accord
WHAT!!!! come on lol This is horrible, one of the most disappointing years i can ever remember.. I have seen alot of bad jet seasons...
I have to add that the Jets were helped out by no key injuries, a cake schedule, Brady going on IR and still couldn't get it done.
Yes this season has not been good at all. This collapse is almost as unbarable as 1986, at least that was due to injuries. This is just awful coaching and a QB that is just not up for playing for the Jets. With the off season moves we made we should have been in the playoffs. When we hit 8-3 we should have been looking at a minimum of 12-4. Mangini and Favre have to pack their bags I'm afraid.
we had a great season..... within our division.... west coast killed us, very disappointing wow Gholston made a tackle our season is saved
Couldn't agree more. Realistically looking at the situation, I dont see how Mangini can keep his job. I personally believe that Seattle game ALONE should be grounds for firing. But after collapsing in this matter and Favre playing just god awful down the stretch losing to subpar teams with so much talent on the roster, its just too difficult to comprehend how Mangini and Favre keep their jobs. And the coordinator can go kill themselves for all i care, they're clueless.
A good Season? We had some good games in the middle of it, other that that, we´re right we´re we were a year ago: no D, no QB and 3rd in the Division.
The Jets had a horrible season, I had them picked for 10-6 with Chad, we got Brett Favre and did no better and maybe WORSE!!! They made the Mets collapse look GOOD!!!
Don't agree with this thread at all. Jets put together a team to win immediately - like this year. What happens when Favre leaves? Looking for another hired gun is not an easy endeavour. Clemens is still green and unproven - and 1 less year of invaluable experience.
it was only a good season if we made the playoffs. i don't know if i'd call it a failure since the jets doubled their wins from last season, but i wouldn't call it a success either. the collapse after the Titans win was very disappointing though.
All and all...I thought it was a decent season. I projected six to eight wins this year..and they surpassed that. I'm mad at myself for being lulled into "playoff excitement" I think if you get some REAL perspective, I I think this team overachieved. I'm disappointed that Gholston was a non factor, but was glad the o-line played better. Hopefully, during the off-season..a speed receiver, a pass rushing end and upgrade in the secondary will be addressed.
The Jets tanked the final five games. Championships are won in December and this team failed to show up in the last five weeks. This season was an epic failure, considering it set the team's rebuilding schedule back several seasons, especially at QB.
Yea you can only hope to build on this disappointment, I mean atleast were not the Lions, I dont know how were going to address this offseason who knows, its very disappointing, if we can find some stability in key positions we can have success next season but who knows what's gonna happen the future I feel like its bright but at the same time it makes you think that it will always be the same old jets
