You are right, back in '02 you were coming off 5 straight postseason berths so those teams knew how to get to the playoffs(just not win in the playoffs)

I was at that game and I will never EVER for get it. We were tail gating in the parking lot and EVERYONE had that game on and as we entered the stadium the PATS were lossing and we were all saying we will do it next year and lets just enjoy the last game. Then it all changed and the place went nuts I was in the upper deck running up and down the isle high fiving everyone. Then you could just feel it in the air we were going to with this game against GB.

I was actually out in the parking lot when the game started, because we had a portable TV and were watching the end of the New England game. When New England hit that game winning field goal... we practically ran all the way from the parking lot, over the cattle crossing, and into the stadium, screaming along with hundreds of other people in the parking lot all the way into the stadium. That was easily my favorite Jets memory in my lifetime. The most thrilling moment ever as a Jets fan of 24 years.
I thought that the Jets would lose to NE and Ten this year, run the table through the Seattle game, and then this game vs. Chad would be for a playoff spot. We took the harder, though conceivably more heartbreaking, way to the spot I thought we'd be. If Favre is the magic man, we win this game and go to the playoffs.
I was at that game and it was the single greatest experience as a Jet fan in my life. I'm going to this one as well, so I sure hope I can bring the luck of the ages with me. I just got teary eyed when I watched that video. Ha.
I have to say that was also the highlight of my JET life. I was not at the Monday Night Game (MNM ) in which we game back to beat the phins but I did watch it at my house and I watched the whole game while many of my friends already left. But that game,, that night at the stadium, the crowd was something special.
I love how that clip also has the irony of Brett Favre missing a wide open Donald Driver. Great find all around.

I remember being at the bar, and they turned EVERY TV on to the PATS game, and the place started chanting DOLPHINS SUCK (in FL), mainly because the few resident dolphans were dicks...... once Vinateri made that kick, the place went nuts and they turned almost every TV to the JETS. That 2nd half of the season had some juice though, we'll see about today!
There are many players in this game that played important roles then...Pennington, Jason Ferguson, Favre, Franks, Ellis, the Patriots, Dolphins, Jets oh how things change but stay the same.
Nice find - chills. Greatest Jet game I ever attended. I didn't even see the score posted at the stadium but when the crowd erupted you knew. It was electric in there after that. NO WAY the Jets were losing.
