Let's just hope he does not lay down on the job tomorrow, like he did when he gave away Mark Gastenaeu's sack record!
What does any of this have to do with Farves play this season? I also love when the packer fans make comparisons to last year. Are you aware of what our problems were last season? We are a winning team again because we improved our front line on both sides of the ball. Not because Farvre has been throwing 7 yard out passes. We already had that part covered.
we should have a partner thread to this called tired if the ignorant favre defending, time to wake up and see he just hasn't had a good year.
LOL very true... I dont hate favre or blame him, but the fanstay land that some still live in here in regards to favre almost makes me want to hate him...lol
Bottom line is with the season on the line in the last four games against weak defenses he has 1 TD and 6 INT's with a QB rating in the 50's. He's not the sole reason we have lost three of the last 4 but he certainly went out of his way to make sure it happened.
yeah i dont hate favre, and was happy when we got him. it hasn't worked out as well as i hoped. the blind defense of everything he does has gotten annoying lately though.
I'm glad Favre came here and played a year. I always will be, regardless of what happens. He's definitely hurt, too.
Change the calendar on your wall, pal. Its 2008. What Favre did last year means about as much to me as this morning's breakfast that I just left in the toilet an hour ago. When you hit the 38,39 yr range you "age much faster" as they say -- just like last year's playoff game vs the Giants when it was apparent that Favre's age was catching up to his body shivering in pain in the cold. Something similar happened to Curtis Martin shortly after producing a 1600 yrd rushing season -- he hit the wall. The coaching staff has more than its share of the blame here, but you couldnt possibly be saying that in his 17th or 18th season that Favre needs a coach to advise him that he needs to open his eyes when he chucks it downfield.....or not throw to the receiver in triple coverage.
Favre had a good year last year in GB, I don't care. We were 4-12 last year qand 10-6 2 years ago. We made a ton of moves to make us alot better and we have more talent than Miami yet less wins. I don't care about being a winning team, we should have been division Champs and at worst a WC team. The QB has held us back this year and the only ignorant comments are coming from favre fellaters who make every excuse in the book for him.
If he is hurt why aren't we playing our back up? I don't have a lot of confidence in Clem but hell he deserves a chance behind a better line than last year. This argument doesn't hold water.
players play hurt all the time. pennington took us on a playoff run with a torn rotator cuff in 2004.
Your not allowed to say that, lol Everyone on here at thestart of the season had convinced themselves that in his tenure we won 3 games and he was aweful. lol shhhhhh people dont want to hear any of those sort of stories on this board lol
the only positive thing that can be said about favre's year is that he opened up the run for Thomas Jones because teams still think favre is a "threat" ...my a-- he is
Maybe that was true at the begining of the year but it certainly isn't now. Teams are daring the Jets to throw deep and almost every time they try it results in an INT.
they result in an INT only because it was a poorly thrown ball. favre has rarely been money this year.
So how does this "open things up" for Jones? Teams know he can't complete that pass. Denver had 8 in the box all game long and the run was still much more effective then the pass.
Um lets see, Thomas Jones leads the AFC in rushing and Denver has the 27th ranked rush defense. Sooo...
