I'm on a post count. I'd like to know if it is a fair assessment of the Jets this season/going into this game. If I'm way off, please let me know.
Not a problem. I asked the mods to delete the thread. There was no harm meant here. We have been pumping up your site here all week at our site.
1. Getting Dustin Keller involved: Negative. Mangini wouldn't do that - a player should pay for his mistakes in the game by sitting out. This is just not happening. 2. Run the ball with TJ: What? Did you honestly watch the past 4 games? Except the Bills game, where the run was abandoned much later, running was abandoned at the earliest possible moment. Trust me. Mangini will abandon running attack as early as possible. 3. Prevent Harris getting singled up against David Martin: Jets' patented 1-2-8 scheme has a single purpose, and that is to make the defender look bad. Not just Harris, but everybody. Expect big game from Chad. 4. Pressure Chad: good luck getting under pressure against 1-2-8 scheme. You win if any defender [touches] Chad in the backfield. 5. Run the ball and use misdirection: With Jenkins playing as shitty as he is lately, you will have success running up the middle, actually. 6. Covering intermediate zone: Yeah. First point that makes sense. FIRST. 7. Favourable match-up: Any passing attack (except Jets passing attack) vs Jets passing defense is, in general, a favorable match up for the offense. You don't even need fancy schemes. 1-2-8 scheme is already at work in your favor. If Revis or Lowery scares you, go with TEs. Jets LBs (or safeties for that matter) won't cover TEs, especially with Rhodes 100 miles away from the LOS. 8. Contain Thomas Jones, which makes Favre the playmaker: Score early on. That makes BS and ManMoron to abandon run game. It's not the defense's job to force this. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of 8 points, only one of them is on the mark. The OP seems to give too much credit to the Jets and Jets coaching staff.
I actually asked John to post it for me here so that I wouldn't have to spam it. I was being sarcastic - pokin fun at it.
It is alright brother, I should of asked for permission to post it here. I meant no disrespect or harm to the site.
Bro, If I may, Brother Richard wasn't in the word meaning spamming your great site, he just couldn't post the link as he doesn't have 50 posts to post it himself.
Revis covers the #1 guy not the slot reciever which he only did in the 2nd game against the pats against wes welker.. He shut down Ginn 1st week and he will do it again with ease
That is why they play the game. I believe you will be seeing a lot of new looks that weren't seen the first game, and some that are not on tape yet. Best of luck this weekend, and may there be no injuries.
Revis covers the #1 guy not the slot reciever which he only did in the 2nd game against the pats against wes welker.. He shut down Ginn 1st week and he will do it again with ease I don't think I said Revis will cover the slot. I did say that Bess should be moved to the slot - I meant that as a way to get away from Revis. Not that Revis would follow him.
another thing.. lowery has not been good in coverage.. and you wont see law one on one ever with ginn, he will have safety help all the time since he is old
