Favre's arm. Either they think he's the best shot at QB at the moment, or Favre is down-playing the injury to keep himself on the field. You decide.
Probably a mix of both. Plus, it's hard to bench a guy you brought in specifically for this season...which is looking more like the case everyday...especially when the team is so close to making noise. You know the second Mangini made any kind of switch without revealing a super specific reason as to why....well I don't even want to imagine that reaction. DA JETS ARE CONCEDING!!!
Yeah I don't understand how this team weakens the arms of their quarterbacks. Look at Pennington's arm now, he looks decent.
Favre just keeps makin dumb decesions yea me too when ever he throws deep i know its gonna be to the other team, what is wrong with him, his ints arint even the defense makin good picks their just blatent ints to the other team.
i wouldn't be surprised if he has a torn rotator cuff. he has taken a few shots this year that could have done it. also they aren't going to bench him if he can play. do you think mangini wants to be the guy who ended brett favre's streak when he still said he could play? no he doesn't.
That really shouldn't matter. Mangini's job is to put this team in the best position to win football games regardless of how difficult a decision may be. IF his arm/shoulder is actually injured to the point where it's causing him to make poor throws he shouldn't be playing. End of story.
I say he's been injured since the Oakland game and has been working with this injury to this point and now its effecting his play. Id also like to add the rest of the team is playing like shit too!
That may be part of the offensive woes. The other part is Leon getting 1 carry for 67 yards and a touchdown. It worked so well the first time, why try it again?

thank you..... When have the Jets run an offense similar to what Favre ran in GB that was so successful? 16 years of slant routes and posts and now they aren't run here??? Its all screens and odd "thrown punts" but then again, using a players strength is something the Jets are against doing... Right Leon?

I think he definitely has a shoulder injury of some kind.. he's all but admitted it. If there are any coaches in the league who'd have the balls to bench an injured Favre when he doesn't want to be benched, Mangini certainly isn't one of them.
so who would you rather have - A hurt favre? Or the shit on the bench behind him? And i'm a huge ratliff guy.
mrs favre was pissed when brett moved the family to nj and hasn't given brett any since. this may explain brett's sore right arm. damn, don't the jets have flight attendants to handle that sort of thing?
