See JJ this where you make the same mistake that junc says (IMHO). There is no way to really know what Pennington would have done if he was here this year. You cannot definitely say that Chad wouldn't have won 9 games and junc can't say that the Jets would have won 11. It's all speculation - that's why when people say "NO WAY" they are barking up the wrong tree. For all of the noise about points scored the Jet offense has scored about 2 points a game this year more than the Dolphins O. Considering that Favre has thrown about 12 more INT's than Pennington maybe (notice the maybe) the Jets D wouldn't have given up quite as many points with Pennington at the helm. Also, with Pennington at the helm maybe the Jets CS would have taken advantage of their rush offense more. Also, for all the points about crappy "D" that the Jets have had if you look at total points for the defense (Points allowed by the "D" - points scored by the "D") the Jets defense and the Dolphins defense are right about the same. It's right about at 290 points for both teams. This is not to say that the Jets defense hasn't sucked. However, to assume that Pennington / Dolphins success is just a byproduct of his defense and coaching is missing the boat IMHO.
What a joke, people can't live with the fact that Chad is having a great year, they obsess over the people who can acknowledge that, and claim that those people are obsessed with Chad. The purpose of the OP in this thread was to call out "fans" that will be rooting for the Dolphins to beat the Jets on Sunday because of Pennington. I started the thread and posted throughout it reiterating that numerous times. Then you came on talking about the clowns questioning peoples fanhood in here. How can I come to any other conclusion of your post based on what was said in the rest of the thread to the point that you posted? Please explain WTF you are talking about then. Please tell me who "some people" are.
