This thread is silly. The OP did the right thing not getting himself arrested over an idiotic remark in a shopping mall. As for J. Chadwick, yeah, thanks for him. We'd probably be 5-10 instead of 10-5 without him. But you can't blame the Jets for failing to foresee that he would have his best year at age 32, immediately after being benched. Revenge is a strong force in football, I guess.
You're right you guys have owned us the past 6 seasons or so, I guess I could dig up a stretch of games from the past and state a FACT as well. However the past is the past. I could also dig up the last 30 years of Jets existance and state a bunch of FACTS about how garbage the franchise has been since the merger, but, the past is the past. FACT. Just wanted to do that again...
We've owned you for 11 seasons. We have beaten Miami 17 of 21 times and please don't act like Miami has been winning like Dallas or SF. For all of Miami's "greatness" they have just one more SB title than we have and all 3 SB titles won btw the 2 teams happened 35-40 years ago. back on how we've owend you for a decade: Dolphins starters career record against Jets(in games they played, not just as member of team): Chad: 0-1 Ginn: 0-3 Bess: 0-1 Brown: 1-5 Polite: 0-0 Fasano: 0-1 Long: 0-1 Alleman: 0-0 Satele: 0-3 Ndukwe: 0-1 Carey: 1-7 Langford: 0-1 Ferguson: 0-1 Holliday: 1-7 Roth: 1-4 Crowder: 1-6 Porter: 3-4 Ayodele: 2-2 Allen: 1-5 Goodman: 0-6 Bell: 1-5 Hill: 0-5 Carpenter: 0-1 Fields: 0-3 Of your 24 starters they have been on teams w/ a combined record of 12-73 against the Jets.
Well let's see, we had a lame passing game when he was here, and we have a lame passing game when he's not here. So where's the focus?
I like you Junc, but you completely missed the point. It's okay though, I appreciate the time and effort you put into your posts. Even if I do forget them the minute I close the page.
I am a man, and I know how to be one. Starting fights in a mall during the holiday season with a jerk fan of my most hated team would not make me any more of a man. I would just look like an idiot.
The way I look at it is that he was asking for confrontation. I know last season I was a very dangerous fan, and anyone wearing a Jet Jersey or talking shit about my team got me pretty fired up. I'm not saying you should have fought him, I'm just saying you would have been justified in doing so.
...not to the police he wouldn't be. He would've been seen as just another ignorant hooligan fan.. one who does not derive a living from the Jets, nor has any financial stake in the Jets. Nothing really to fight for.
Interesting, so it was Chads time to go not the coaching philosophy? It would seem to me you're just a bit confused from all the built up frustration. Chad isn't great, he's not a superstar, he can't put a team on his back and carry them. However in the right situation he can do his job and do it well. It's been proven many times over the years that you don't need a Brett Favre to win a SB, all you need is a group of guy's that play as a team and have confidence in what they're doing. That's what Miami is right now, Chad couldn't do for the Jets what he's doing for the Dolphins cause your coach doesn't have that team in the right frame of mind. I'm not saying Miami wins Sunday cause it's just one game, but look at what we have a chance to do with a QB tossed aside and a rookie HC. Win or lose Sunday, Dolphins fans have had one great season, Jet fans can't say that.
You're not telling me nothing. If I get into a fight at the Mall not only do I have to deal with your Civilain Law but Uncle Sam also grabs my balls and gives em a little twist. I'm just saying that my tale isn't tucking for some dickhead, regardless.
Yeah your right. I wouldnt have booed Chad after a couple of INT's but he would have been hearing it pretty loud from a lot of the people in that stadium.
