I expect a coach that : A. teaches his team how to tackle B. instills mental toughness C. Knows how to make "in game" adjustments D. Makes sure his team wins the games they're supposed to win E. HAS BALLS!
Game aside, shouldn't you expect a playoff appearance from a coach who has more pro-bowlers than any other team?
I don't give a shit if the entire roster goes to the Pro Bowl....there's an excellent chance we miss the playoffs....which is a bigger concern of mine. To hell with the Pro Bowl.....I want a Super Bowl win.
I just want him to win. I don't care how. I don't hand out style points like some here do. I just want to get to the playoffs, and then make some noise in the playoff. He threw away the chance to walk into the playoffs on their own legs...but it's whatever if they get into the playoffs.
Gotta agree .... how can you expect a coach to suceed with only 7 Pro Bowlers on your starting line-up ( and 5 possible alternates ) .... Let me pose this question .... Has ANY team in NFL history placed 7 players in the Pro Bowl and FAIL to make the playoffs ... I know that the Pro Bowl is BS, BUT .... It still is "somewhat" of an honor to be selected and a bit of a measure of excellence ...
I want some passion. Not this disconnected, flatline personality, excuse making bullshit week after week. NFL coaches go on tirades when their teams fuck up. It's a well known fact. Mangini must have a miniscule testosterone level from being fat for so long.
+100000000 He didn't make them PBlers. He obviously doesn't know how to use their talent, keep them motivated or give them a sense of urgency. He also doesn't know how to manage a game or game plan for an opponent. Oh, and he certainly didn't learn a thing under Belly or the Tuna. They must be embarrassed for him.
