This collapse is even worse than the Mets collapse in 2007. After the Mets collapse in 2007 I said that the Mets had to fire Willie Randolph and that there was no choice, or they would come out playing with this terrible burden. Well, they didn't, and look what happened. The Jets need to get rid of Mangina and move on with the franchise. He is not a winner, and his entire staff is a joke. I mean, how do you give T.J. the ball 17 TIMES TODAY!!!!!!!!!! IN A SNOW GAME!!!!!!!!!!!! FAVRE WAS ALLOWED TO THROW 38 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!????

Bring in Bill Cowher. He will change the entire philosophy of the team and will build a great defense that will be championship caliber. DO IT, or else we are doomed to another full decade of losing football.

The 2001-2005 Herm Edwards era was bad, but the Mangini era is FAR WORSE. The team has gone downhill the past couple of years. The whole staff has got to go

The worst part about this season was bringing in a hated, washed up asshole and still failing miserably. Having a shitty team is bad enough but I don't think anything is worse the being forced to root for a turd like Favre only to see the season go down in flames anyway.

I'd rather then Jets had gone 0-16 then ever cheered for the most overrated, media darling, sack record laying down for piece of gunslinging shit to ever step on a football field.

    Chuck Norris for HC

8-3 to 9-7 possibly an unlikely 10-6 get his fat ass outta here.

The constant stream of man love directed his way was always pretty annoying and ever since the Strahan debacle he was pretty firmly entrenched as my least favorite player on a team I don't care about. The fact that several of his cult members have migrated to this board since he became a Jet hasn't helped matters either.

    Eric Mangini Must Be Fired

    this is my take

a few days ago the squads for the afc pro bowl were announced

the jets had 12 including 5 alternates-----you can argue that pennington should have made it over farve but that still leaves 11 guys that the fans coaches and players picked which is more than any other team

that is the reason the jets went to 8-3

loosing the last few games to two of the worst teams is a disgrace ---plus we lost to the awful raiders

this team is outcoached not motivated has miserable schemes

woody johnson is not going to sell his high priced personal seat licenses without big changes

he needs to bring in cower or belick or someone with a proven track record by mid january

the notices for the new stadium will come in at the end of january with payments required by mid may

farve's skills seem to have diminished so a new qb must be brought in by the start of free agency which is end of feb

I'M SICK OF ALL THIS SUFFERING---THE JETS PROMISE SO MUCH AND DELIVER NOTHING

THIS SEASON SHOULD HAVE DELIVERED AT LEAST THE DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

This certainly doesn't belong in the 'Should Eric Mangini be fired?' thread.

If the Jets are going to make a change, it will be sooner than mid-January.

I can't believe they flexed the Jets to 4pm. After we hammer Buffalo and Baltimore goes up big on Jax, what kind of motivation will they have. What a freakin joke !!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if we had or do make the playoffs we would be absolutely killed by any of the other five teams who are in it and it doesn't matter who they are. So the positive side of this may be Mangini getting booted.

The Jets are exciting to watch no matter what time they play.

    Answer me this one.

Assuming the Pats win and Baltimore goes up big on Jax by halftime. What reason do the Jets have to win this football game especially when Eric knows that winning a meaningless game would put us in the playoffs ?
