This team has NO HEART! In fact this whole franchise from the owner on down especially the head coach, assistant coaches, and players have NO HEART!!! I remember the Jets that won Super Bowl lll and they had HEART!!! They came to play every week and played hard win or loose.
This team is emotionless just like the head coach. Mangini said they work and practice hard. They must be working and practicing the wrong things. They can't tackle an eighty year old grandmother let alone the other teams running back.
The problem with this team starts with the owner. A fish rots from the head down. What team would trade for a thirty-eight year old quarterback a month before the season starts? Only the Jets! They went into panic mode because their co-tenants won the Super Bowl last year and needed a big name to justify charging us season ticket holders for PSL's
Joe Namath didn't sell his soul to the devil. There is not a curse on this franchise. The problem started when Leon Hess bought out Sonny Werblin and the other minority owners and let an idiot Steve Gutman run this team like a corporate toy and continues now though Woody Johnson.
Woody you are not a football person. If you were you would have built the Jets their own stadium. Instead you chose to continue sharing a stadium with the Giants where the Jets will continue to be second class citizens no matter what you name the new stadium. That is something Leon Hess would do too! You were the reason Parcells and Belichek left the Jets. They knew you were going to continue the policies of Hess and Gutman.
Yup, this whole franchise has NO HEART and the product on the field plays with no passion, emotion, or HEART! Now I feel a little better.

I agree 100%. Pathetic, they haven't looked like they wanted it in awhile.

I think Mangini lost the confidence of his player around midseason, look at Willie Randolph with the Mets he had all the talent and players did not respect him. Mangini has to go he is a terrible coach. Why was he hired in the 1st place, he never coached 1 game in the leauge before he came here. He is absolutely terrible. I don't know whos worse him or Herm.

I believe Mangini lost this team last year with the way the Jets handled the Pete Kendell situation. Kendell renegotiated his contract to give the Jets cap room during the season. He didn't say to the Jets I don't renegotiate, like they did to him. I think the other players lost a lot of respect for not only Mangini and Tannenbaum but Woody too. The players don't trust the whole organization and you can bet they tell all the new players about how Kendell was treated.

Does anyone now think trading Vilma was a big mistake? He was our leading tackler every year and defensive leader.
