Other teams know they'll want to get rid of Cassel once Brady comes back. There's no way they tag him.

Fuck Matt Cassel I dont want any Patriot Crap! I wouldnt even take Tom Brady. I am tired of us taking there Bullshit players. We cant say we are a better team than them until we have players of our own end of story. This starts with the coaching staff. Our coach cant be the old defensive coordinator of the pats, that plain and simple says the pats are a better organization than us and we need to take the crap they dont need to satisfy our needs.

They will have a tag and trade deal in place before Matt hits FA. We'll get another #1 pick to add to our 2 #2's. The 2009 draft will be a bonanza and Brady is back. 2009 is looking real good.

 

I don't think you quite understand how negotiations work. Everyone knows that with Brady back there's no way the Patriots will be able to keep both at QB, so no team is going to give up a first rounder. It'll be a wasted tag.

 

That's just it, Brady might be delayed, which is going to force the tag on Cassel. Discussions with teams like Detroit, Tampa, SF and others will dictate whether they go this route. Regardless, tagging Cassel is Brady insurance regardless.

 

Plus you don't pay Matty until the season starts .. plenty of time to see if TFB is ready..

 

Yeah, I guess we'll have to wait and see. From what I'm hearing Brady isn't doing as well as they had hoped.

Give Gholston a chance. Tanneunbaum has done a good job. Mangini sucks and I guess yeah he did hire him but the players he has brought in have been good. The Favre move was a gamble and it didnt work out but a lot of GM's would have tried that.

The guy is on a team that might miss the playoffs and has been crap against good teams....he has never played an entire season in the league and has never won a big game.

Based on what we know now, fi you think we can lead this team better than Favre....or if you think he'd have taken this team further this season, you're an idiot. Plain and simple.
