Christ it feels like Groundhog Day as a sports fan, doesn't it? I'm going out of my mind with these teams finding new and exciting ways to choke it up.
Feels like I was just forced to eat a giant shit sandwich again. I feel abused and in a way...cursed. And this will be...count it....3 straight seasons of collapse for me. I might just give up and move to a Buddhist monastary in Tibet.
Im a diehard Jets and Mets fan. Season ticket holder for the Jets and I have a Sunday package for the Mets. God that sounds really bad right now. It least the Mets show promise and give you hope now that they got K-rod and Putz. The Jets just torment you year in and year out.
I'm a Yankee fan, and we feel the same way as the Mets fans, we can't make the playoffs with all that talent!
The Jets did that this offseason with Favre, Jenkins and Faneca The only difference between the teams right now is at least Jerry Manuel 'gets it' (the PR aspect) and isn't afraid to tell it like it is, in a nice folksy way of course.
You didn't have any pitching talent and your core talent was too old anyway. I knew the Yanks would suck.
I forgot to add the Knicks and gasp....the islanders...who I gave up on a long time ago. The Isles made me actually hate watching hockey.
What about Jets, Mets, and WVU football? West Virginia was going to play in the national championship game last year. All they had to do was beat a shit Pitt team in Morgantown. Couldn't do it.
The only team that hasn't collapsed on me is the Atlanta Hawks. It's sorry times when the Hawks are your best team. Perhaps I should start watching regular season NBA action again and maybe have something to smile about.
