For some reason I don't think this is the case, can anyone confirm we can still get in as a WC? Playoff generator on yahoo isn't working.

It is the case. The Jets would be 8-4 in the conference and the Ravens would be 7-5. That's the next tie-breaker after head-to-head when trying to break a tie between two teams NOT in the same division.

Yep. espn.com has this as well:

"Either New England or Baltimore, also 10-5, must lose for the Jets to get in the playoffs. The Patriots are at Buffalo next week and the Ravens, aiming for the conference's last wild-card spot, host Jacksonville (5-10)."

Okay, I like those odds MUCH better than with our only hope being a bills win over NE. And we'll be playing at 1pm, meaning we will be playing a meaningful game no matter what. We still have a shot...slim, but a shot.

Absolutely, Jags almost knocked off the Colts on Thursday. Baltimore is playing great right now, but you never know what will happen in any given week - esp when youre dealing with a rookie QB.

    Yep.

    2002:
-Dolphins loss at Pats (division) or Cleveland loss to Falcons (wild card)
    -Jets must beat Packers

    2008:
-Pats loss at Bills (division) or Ravens loss at Jacksonville (wild card)
    -Jets must beat Dolphins

Of course, Chad Pennington will be looking to beat Brett Favre again to win the division on the last day of the season...

Jets still in it in multiple ways though.

There is no similarity between 2002 and this year. That team was 2-5 and went on a roll with a young up and coming QB. This team was 8-3 and has collapsed like wet tissue paper with a has been at QB. This is more like 1986 all over again. If the Jets make the playoffs, it will be a joke and a first round loss is almost assured.
