I don't consider myself a darksider but a realist. I want to see the same people who spun Favre's mediocrity at every opportunity, the same people who found every excuse to find some good about Mangini, and the guys who constantly felt the need to call out the so-called "darksiders." I doubt we'll be hearing from them. Of course, in that world Mangini is still a future HOF coach and Favre is somehow a Pro Bowl QB.
It doesn't feel good. The Jets should have been in the playoffs. And then who knows. But for many reasons that didn't happen. My one fear is that Favre comes back next year and we get more of this SOS.
When you're a Jets fan for so long, the only thing you can see is the dark side. Sunshine is not an option.
Noticed a lot of people not posting after the loss...most notably blind optimists like: Vision, JetslookingforDware, Scikotics, and some others...where is your blind optimism now? I've been posting all season this team is a bunch of underachievers and warned all of you not to get your hopes up...until I was sucked into it after the Titans game and started believing...shame on me
As a Jet fan, you're always going to be sucked in...only to be spit out again like some used chewing gum.
When ultimately 31 out of 32 teams fail you're probably not going to go broke predicting doom and gloom. Not really something to be crowing about.
This team had enough talent to make the playoffs (with or without Farve), we were COACHED into mediocrity.
That's not the point. I can live with losing to a better team. No question. BUT, we lose to teams with losing records and play down to the level of our opponents. And the way we lose is despicable. 3 ppints? 3 freakin points? Unacceptable. Fire Mangini.
We're not darksiders........we're realists. Why the f--k would we want to see the team lose? There's no fun in this. We're like the guy on the bridge of the Titanic who told the captain that it would be hard to see the icebergs unless the ship slowed down.
"I don't disagree with you, just with the gloating premise of this thread." Don't blame us for desperately needing something to gloat about.
This team sucks. I am now a Darksider despite being a ridiculous optimist for all my years as a fan. Before today I thought that a new, young, qb (insert Matt Cassel or some rookie, Bradford, Stafford, Sanchez, etc...) might be able to turn this bag of shit around but now, there is no way to right the ship. :gpc: GJC--Great Jets Collapse
