One of the guys on Edge NFL matchup said that Chad belongs in discussions for MVP of the league.....wow! I know he's played well but jeez! He didn't even get that much hype in 2002 and he was money that year.

I pretty much agree with the sentiment that this proves that Chad was NOT the problem last year. I am a big Chad fan and wish him well....but NO FREAKIN WAY do I hope he beats MY NEW YORK JETS!!!!! He is the enemy now. I loved what he did while he was a Jet - but now he's a Dolphin - no way around that!
They speak the truth, Chad has been better. Don't be fooled by our high ranking in poinsts scored when our D/Sts have scored 42 points and w/ our STs our O has consistent excellent FP. Our O has been medicore most of the season despite the misleading #s. We rely too much on the arm of Favre when he have an amazing 1-2 punch to hand off and throw screens to.
Wow I never rooted for the Jets to lose just because I don't think Pennington is a guy who could take us far in the playoffs with a well below average NFL arm. Didn't we go from 4 & 12 to 9 & 5? Have the Dolphins made the playoffs? Didn't Parcells take us from 1 & 15 to 9 & 7 with Neil O'Donnell? Is this season over? The Jets problems are muti faceted the fact that we gave a ton of money to Pennington who had exactly 1.75 seasons of good health with this team and was limited in his ability to stretch the field was one of them.
Just because Pennington had a better season than Favre does not mean the Jets would have had a better season with Pennington. This shit is multidimensional.
The Phins have scored 283 points. Even without ANY of the defensive/ST points, we've scored 40+ more points than them...
Our O has also given up 35, when you factor those in the O's have been pretty close and we have muich more talent on O. A better OL, a more productive duo in the backfield, MUCH better WRs, a better pass catching threat at TE.
That is exactly backward. This year Favre is the premier dink and dunker in football. He's throwing much shorter passes than Pennington is.
All fans are like that. It's less ridiculous for a Jets fan to think so than fans in other places, because the New York newspapers can be brutal. But it's still ridiculous.
