It's so funny watching Sunday NFL Countdown. Just a few weeks ago all of them loved the Jets(except Cris Carter, the Dolphin fan). Now they ask which of the 3 AFC East teams do you trust today. 2 Dolphins, 2 Pats, 0 Jets. I don't care that they like the other teams but I find it hilarious how fast they change their mind. The Jets used to be god 2 weeks ago and now they're not even in the discussion on which team will win the division.
What have the Jets done in recent weeks to get a vote? Lost to Denever. Lost to a sub .500 49ers team. Barely pulled one out against a Bills team that had scored 6 points in its previous two games. Why the hell should they vote for us?
As a huge Jets fan, if I had a vote, NO DOUBT it would be New England. Today at home in the snow vs. AZ? Easy Patriots win. Jets and Dolphins on the road, how can you trust them more than that?
i dont trust the jets defense until they get their balls back i have doubt going into each game we lost to the raiders and the 49ers...thats why espn "hates" us good teams dont do that...and they dont let anyone pass on them all day they dont need the bills to lay one in the endzone in order to get a win the jets have played the worst football down the stretch of the 3 teams ...now add our pass rush back to our defense...and we are the most talented group by far but the coaches have to turn that around it is all on the coaching staff...we still have a contending group of players i'm hoping it gets fixed against seattle
There's no reason they shouldn't be picking those teams. What have the Jets done to inspire confidence lately? They are not the team they were a month ago, not even close, and that is why they are out of the discussion. NE and Miami are far more consistent than the Jets are are coached better and consistently more prepared. A win today may still not put the Jets back in that conversation because Miami and NE are playing better teams and should both win. They don't hate the Jets, they are being honest. And by the way, think about what you're saying. If they hate the Jets, then why would they have been calling them the AFC's best a few weeks ago. If ESPN hates them, shouldn't they have been shitting on them all season?
thier opinions are swayed by our performances. The jets are playing good, then bad, then descent, can u really expect them to trust us? the same reasoning for the fact that we were number 3 in power rankings, and now, 3 weeks later, were number 16.
The people at ESPN are all bandwagon jumpers but lets be honest here. If you weren't a die hard fan, was there anything that the Jets did over the past few weeks that would give you any faith in this team?
Amen my friend. Me neither. I don't see any way the Pats lose. I live about 10 minutes from the Stadium and the snow is coming down hard with no end in sight. The Pats just don't lose games like this especially to teams like the Cardinals. Would not shock me if Miami lost and it certainly wouldn't shock me if the Jets lost.
Everybody hates the Jets and are always looking for any excuse to pick against them. It has been that way for 40 years.
ESPN is the worst for bandwagoning. The network wants ratings and hence always pulls for the teams that have been big draws in the past, hence the constant Pats*/Brady love. Absolutely sickening.
Jets are playing on the west coast, they haven't won over there all season. Miami is hot and playing a shitty KC team. The Pats are in the snow at home against a Cardinal team that blows on the road. Who are you going to pick.... it would be one thing if the Jets were at home playing the Rams again... then the Jets would be picked. BTW, I've seen ESPN analysts pick the Jets, just not the idiots who do the countdown stuff.
I'm hopeful we win these next 2 but what have we done the last 3 weeks to make anyone feel confident in us?
Who said they suck? Nice logic. However, if you think that at 9-5 their actual ability is equal to their position in the division then you don't understand that game and haven't paid attention throughout the season. Look at the win last week, and the KC win. Add to that the SF and Oakland losses and 35 points the Cards put up in the 2nd half and the way we almost lost to the Pats and you should realize something. If not, nobody can help you. Oh yeah, and the Pass D is 29th in the league.
