Every QB is a system QB to a certain degree. You think New England would be in contention right now with David Carr, Joey Harrington, or Rohan Davey? Cassel is good. He's not in Brady's class, or anywhere close. He has a tendency to be skittish but seems to be improving.
Thing is, I'm not sure what QB would look great in the Jets system. It's a pretty sucky system if you ask me.
I understand what you say but with an average QB they would still be in the hunt in my opinion . Cassell is decent but not the $20 million , four years i saw thrown out the other day
If the Cardinals want any chance of making the Divisional round of the playoffs, Matt Leinart will be starting the second half. Warner's going to wind up looking like one of the abstract snowmen from Calvin and Hobbes if they leave him out there much longer.
Where are you watching? CBS is not currently televising football in the NY/NJ area to my understanding.
The next Scott Mitchell would be a better comparison. O'Donnell helped take a team to a Super Bowl. Also, Mitchell replaced a legendary QB who was lost to an injury.
