Um, that doesn't concern the Jets chances of making it into the playoffs. Winning or losing against the Chiefs does not affect the Jets chances of making the playoffs in any way, and that is my point. Either way, the most either team can be is one game ahead of the other, and the winner of that game wins the tiebreaker. MIA/KC only matters for Miami.

So you don't think if Miami is eliminated before our game it matters? I do, it's effectively an elimination game for both teams instead of one team. Both games are outright life and death for both teams. A loss this week by Miami coupled with a win by the Jets this week and a Baltimore win next and two NE wins makes a huge difference. Our chances or Miami's chances of winning the last game goes up significantly if the game means nothing for one of the teams.

Miami can't make the playoffs if both NE and Baltimore are 11 & 5 even with a win against us if they lose to the Chiefs. If we are 10 & 5 and Miami is 9 & 6 and both NE and Baltimore are 11 & 5 Miami has nothing to play for.

    Who cares.

KC is Cold and Blustery. Herm will protect inside the numbers.
KC wins this one...(P.S. If Herm can't win this one he shouldn't be coaching anywhere again)

Next week, Cold and Blustery, Mangini protects inside the numbers. Jets Score first get up over 10, Dolphags are chum in the water

Herm's getting a pink slip at the end of the season instead of an invitation to the playoffs.

I like Miami, NE and the Jets today and NE, Baltimore and the Jets next week. That's the scenario I'm rooting for Jet win the division and send NE and Miami home or Miami wins the division and the Jets and NE go home. 02 all over again but instead of playing a Packer team that laid down like dogs we get to claw our way in and go into the playoffs tough as nails.

Somewhat. But they didnt face Gore last week, and they were one big play away from blowing that game at home.

It irks me that that game isn't on today.

Yeah if we don't win out the best case for us is probably a playoff game in Foxboro in round 1. More likely we just lose out on the playoffs though.

The Pats, BTW, can finish 11-5 and miss the playoffs. That's my golden scenario right now.

Good question as it was bugging me as well

Both teams would be 4-2 within the division so Miami would win based on the record against common opponents.

Kind of ironic that them winning against the crappy AFC West counts more than us beating the unbeaten Tennessee
