A Johnson, Bold, Moss Westbrook, Williams Gates ________ PLAYOFFS 1st ROUND!!!!! FLEX: Housh (Wash), Santana Moss (Cincy), Cotchery (Buff) Housh is a guaranteed 9, should I roll the dice and try for higher numbers?
I have that same dilemma vis-a-vis Favre-Schaub too...generally I've leaned towards Favre all week but I might be looking at a weather report Sunday, Favre can't play in bad weather anymore. My lineup's a mess and I'm facing by far the best team in the league this week - I have both Gore and Jacobs out with injuries, fortunately I have Derrick Ward. I also picked up Foster and Tatum Bell this week, am at least going to start Ward and Bell at RB. I'm not sure whether to put Davone Bess or Foster at flex (I have Cotchery too but from what I've seen from him lately he isn't an option).
Playoff game: Need a QB, I currently have Favre, Big Ben, and Garcia. I'm currently starting Garcia vs ATL. Was thinking of cutting one em for Shaun Hill or Thigpen because of their great matchups. Who to play??
Need to start 2 out of these 4 RB's Westbrook vs. CLE Jones vs. BUF Lynch vs. NYJ Jacobs vs. DAL and at WR either Vincent Jackson vs. KC or Cotchery vs. BUF
Forget about Jacobs, he hasn't practiced all week and likely won't play since he banged up the same knee. I'd stick with Westbrook, Jones and Jackson.
I thought the policy in this thread was to answer the poster's dilemma and then pose your own. No wonder I never post in here anymore.
Pierre Thomas got me 25 points last night. QB: Has to be Peyton Manning RB: I have Marion Barber III, but he's playing on SNF and will likely be a gametime decision. Other options: LenWhale White (@HOU), Tatum Bell (@CAR), Warrick Dunn (@ATL), Dominic Rhodes (DET), Maurice Morris (@STL), Ricky Williams (SF), and Cedric Benson (WAS), Derrick Ward (@DAL). Need one. WR: Anquan Boldin is a must-start WR: Same for Reggie Wayne WR: Deion Branch (@STL), Vincent Jackson (@KC), Domenik Hixon (@DAL), Amani Toomer (@DAL), Chad Ocho Cinco (WAS). TE: Dallas Clark K: Rob Bironas (@HOU), Jason Elam (TB), Shaun Suisham (@CIN), John Carney (@DAL) DEF: Gotta be the Indy defense. I foolishly waived Marvin Harrison a few weeks ago and my opponent got him for this week. I just picked up Ward. Besides gaining another option and preventing my opponents from getting him, it allows me to wait until before the Sunday night game to see if Marion Barber III will play. If Barber is active, chances are I'll go with him. If he isn't, it'll be Ward. So either way I should have a starting RB.
Don't use Roethlisberger. May as well release him. Baltimore and then Tennessee. I released him to clear a spot for Ward. Thigpen, Favre, or Garcia are your option, as I see it.
I'll score my playoff round here. Peyton Manning: 16 Pierre Thomas: 25 Dominic Rhodes: 23 Reggie Wayne: 10 Deion Branch: 7 Anquan Boldin: 1 Dallas Clark: 20 Rob Bironas: 14 Indianapolis: 4 Total: 120 Opponent Matt Ryan: 7 Steven Jackson: 18 Steve Slaton: 11 Larry Fitzgerald: 5 Wes Welker: 13 Marvin Harrison: 2 Chris Cooley: 3 Ryan Longwell: 5 Philadelphia: pending Total: 64 +Philly So the Philly D would have to score 56 points for him to tie me.
time for the championship game. DEF: Indianapolis, Carolina, Cleveland, Green Bay, New England, or Houston. Also need a third WR and I have slim pickings to choose from.
I'm in a quandry. I'm in the championship finals this sunday...and the winner wins 350 bucks...so i don't want to make any mistakes. I need some advice on who i should start at HB. We have to start 2 backs...here are my choices: Adrian Peterson (Vikes) - plays the Falcons Steve Slaton - play the Raiders Pierre Thomas - play the Lions Normally..starting Peterson is a no-brainer...but the other 2 have great matchups and could possibly have big days. what do you guys think?
Wow that one is tough. I would lean towards Peterson and Slaton though just because I have a feeling the Lions come out strong, and the Saints will throw 50 times. Or at least I hope... You can't go wrong with any 2.
Here's my quandary. Steve Breaston or Braylon Edwards Breaston PROS -Puts up good numbers as a #3 receiver, now he's starting and his team will likely play from behind -Returns punts, so extra chance to score -Has put up more points than Edwards, even while only starting 2 games CONS -Only 2 touchdowns all season -Doesn't play as well on the road -May be crappy weather (though that might mean nothing...or even help) Edwards PROS -#1 option who is targeted 10+ times a game -Playing a bad defense at home -Has started to drop the ball a little less in recent weeks. CONS -Even against Cincinnati, Browns offense might not be able to score. -He's failed me so many times this season. -Worse numbers than Breaston, who now gets to start. Or I could start both and bench Sammy Morris...
I've got to sit 1 of these 6 guys this week: Andre Johnson Roddy White Brandon Marshall Matt Forte Stephen Jackson Marshawn Lynch It's a PPR league. Right now I've got Marshall on the bench but he's just the kind of asshole to drop another 30 point game despite being pretty mediocre for the 2nd half the season. Also pretty annoyed after that assfuckery in Dallas, my opponent has Romo and Witten and after 3 and a half quarters of complete domination he gets 30 garbage time points from them.
