There's a hotel with a sports bar across the street. You dont have to miss a thing. Apparently the sheraton no longer houses a bar. try this http://www.harmonmeadow.com/pages/plazameadowpage.html (My Office is there) Chilis, Bazookas, and Herberts all have sports on sundays. you can get to the stadium in 5 minutes.
Would I still be able to get parking (I have a pass) this close to game time. I have the pass so I figure there are spots. I don't really care how far away I have to park as long as I can see the game.
Found out today that the seats are section 238 row 2 and on the aisle. I thought they were a little better (near the middle of the field) but as I already have them in hand for nothing I can't complain. How are these seats? edit: I'm an idiot and didn't realize G8 meant game 8.
There will be someone in the parking lot with the games on a tv, find that person. In years past they had a couple TVs in the ESPN tent with games on, not sure about that this year though. BUT how in the world does a Jets fan go to a Giants game on the same day of the Jets biggest game of the season? That is crazy talk right there.
Read the above. Anyway, I think I'm going to the Sheraton to watch the game and then heading over to the game and finding a parking spot wherever I can get it. Thankfully I've finally got a plan in place because I wasn't missing this game.
Tell your friend to hold both tickets, fake your own death and watch the Jets. No one gets pissed at a dead person – just last week me and my friend go to this bar that we used to be stools at but haven’t been to in a couple of months. The bartender (this chick) says – “oh – where the hell have you guys been” and sort of gives us an attitude (without our tips she probably missed a few car payments). Always a quick thinker – I say “oh – ummm – we were in morning.” I point to my buddy and say “He died”. She says – “you know…that doesn’t really made sense but whatever.” Throws our beers up on the bar and loses the attitude. She totally bought it.
Go to the game really early to tailgate, and watch the Jets game on a TV in the back of someone's car. Just be cool and offer some beer in exchange for any group letting you join their tailgate.
ok Greyhound JET.. is this "Friend " a girl. Seems like there is more to this story than you telling us.. anyways enjoy the game.
i believe the first 5-8 rows don't have cover. but if it's windy and snowing..then maybe only the last 5-8 rows will be safe.
so it's not really a dilemma more a regret. go to the game and dvr the jets game and ignore all news casts. it can be done.
Tailgate early at the game and find someone with a TV in their van or car. At Gillette, when we go to Sunday night games, there is always someone in every row watching the 4pm game... If not, listen to the Jets on the Radio while tailgating....
No way you could manage to NOT hear how the Jets did if your in the parking lot at the Meadowlands...
You will also need a generator and a TV along with the above mentioned. I know for a fact many NYGIANTS have TVs in the parking lot. Im sure a case of Heineken would get you an invite to a TV tailgate party.
