    Good points
The '08 Dolphins remind me a lot like the '06 Jets

I've been saying that for a while...it's not like the Dolphins are some super team...they're a kinda sorta talented team that happens to be very disciplined and well run.

Parcells isn't coaching the Dolphins. This article is a collection of meaningless innuendo and unsubstantiated bullshit. It's a collection of half-truths, sweeping generalizations, and logical fallacies. To call this "reporting" is downright laughable.

I want to win the division so badly. It is consuming my mind, I had a dream last night we LOST to the Dolphins.... I DEMAND GLORY!!!!!!!!!

I want to believe in Mangini but it all comes down to results.

I'd take Belichick, and Parcells in a heartbeat, if they were the coach, we'd be clinching the division already, and the D would be top 5.

And it's hard to believe in the guy who's coached us to 9 wins so far?

Does he have to win a Super Bowl before we believe in him? Then why complain about him now? We've still got 5 games at least before the Super Bowl.
Not only that, but there would be peace in the Middle East, and our troops would be coming home to a solid economy and good times in America.

    But it's not that way.

Even going into the fact that your statement is impossible to prove right or wrong...Parcells and BB both mentored our young coach...and I'm pretty sure their years in football almost equal or might even pass our HC's age...I realize there is a major obsession with the past for Jets fans...but can we give the guy a shot?

Actually, I take that back because that's asking alot. Theres still two games to look foward to bitching about (at least)...W or L...rain or shine...not to mention he's given us 5+ games to bitch about this season.

    I feel the same way.

Totally agree..its a pathetic article. Forget about the Mangini/bb part. To not give 90% of the credit to Sprano is a disgrace. Parcells has added a couple pieces..and added Pennington because he had no other options at the position..he lucked out.

Bottom line is this team was 1-15 last year..and no president/gm or whatever the hell he is doing besides eating, can make a 1-15 team a possible 10 or 11 win team. A coach can...not a president.

i can see seattle knocking out the jets, then the jets knocking out miami.

the pats slip into the title , just like we did back in 2002.

hope i'm wrong. but last week's game did nothing to bolster anyone's confidence in mangini or sutton.

Parcells was definately in charge of the 2000 draft. He has commented many times on why HE drafted Pennington. (Not to mention the other 3 first round choices - Elllis, Abraham, and Becht)

If you remember correctly, Parcells was the general manager and team President for a full year after he quit as the Jets Head Coach. He had full authority in the 2000 draft. Note that saying Parcells didn't have control of the 2000 draft would be analogous to saying that Tannenbaum didn't have control of the 2006/2007/2008 drafts. (Although, I'm sure Parcells and Groh worked together in the 2000 draft every bit as much as Tannenbaum worked together with Mangini in all of their drafts - We all realize that they are thought of as a tandem who make all player/personel decisions together and I'm sure that Parcells and Groh were the same way in their operating philosophy. I also assume this because of the way Parcells is known to feel about letting the coaches have all the input they want in picking the players due to his famous feud with Bob Kraft in NE over this very issue)

He commented many times years later trying to take the credit but at the time he deflected all the criticism of the Key trade to Groh.

KC has some ridiculous home record in December in the recent past if I remember correctly. Let's go Herm!
