when the Jets play a complete game in all three phases, then they'll get respect. It happened after the Titan game when that game was played wonderfully.
They Jets play like crap when the media gives them respect. i'd much rather be playing games in January then be all hyped up by the media and sitting home.
Respect??? This team is a joke! We barely beat Miami the first game, had to struggle to beat the Chiefs, almost let the Cards back in the game, and should have lost Sunday. Take those away and we're a 5 win team......

It's weird but that is something you can hold your hat on... It seems every time the Jets get some national media attention they flop shortly there after, and fade back behind the more popular teams.
ESPN has been cracking jokes on the Jets all season. This has been going on even when the Jets were 8-3 and doing really well. Keyshawn today made jokes about how the producer told him to pick the Eagles tonight so he could finish 500 on the season in picking MNF games, just like the Jets who wont make the playoffs. Cris Carter lives right near me and he's a huge Dolphin fan and has been picking the Dolphins all season long. Tom Jackson picked the Pats to win the division when the Jets were 8-3. Thats fine though. I can GUARANTEE the last week of the season if it's for the division they will ALL pick the Dolphins. There seems to be a love affair with them. People are outraged and laughing at the Jets for getting a lucky win but the Dolphins wins against the Raiders, Seahawks, Niners, and Rams all by 5 pts or less is perfectly FINE.
Bro I disagree on the picks for the last game. We have been the red headed step child with ESPN for a long time. It will probably go 50/50 with the picks.
Who cares if we "barely" beat Miami. We freaking beat them and they are 9-5. I will gladly take barely beating Miami on the 28th.
I don't care about respect, I care about wins. No one respected the Giants at this point last year. That doesn't mean we'll do anything in January/February but respect is earned from winning and we haven't won anything yet.
They don't really deserve it, but I'm tired of hearing these talking heads jump to extremes with this team. We beat the Titans and we're a lock for the SB. Struggle in the following games and now we're brutal. The truth is we're neither. We're the same team we've been all season; a slightly above average team capable of making the playoffs and maybe winning a game. From there who knows? I just wish they'd all go back to not talking about us, because it's annoying.
We haven't earned a lick of respect. We beat TN and NE then dropped two stinkers to DEN and SF. We got out played against Buffalo, and are showing no signs of being a legitimate playoff team. I'm embarassed and ashamed that it will come down to the Miami game with Noodle Arm having a chance to exact revenge. I am flat out embarassed that it has come to this. I don't feel good about this team's chances at all and I'm not even being a darksider I'm being a realist. Even Jenkins looks like a bitch out there now!
