He was very impressive yesterday. Buffalo has good tackles and he was handling his own against the two. It certainly helps to have someone like Devito who can keep the d-line fresh.
He's a high motor guy...I like that. DeVito and Pouha have been very important this year - they come off of the bench and keep the better players fresh.
Like both DeVito & Mosley. Excellent backups - both are physically strong & make a great effort. Couple of good solid free agent pickups.
coleman is the worst player Ive ever (not) seen since his name is never called, Id rather throw gholston in there and see what he can do at his normal position of DE
Gholston in, that would be awesome......if we were in a 4-3, Coleman eats blocks thats what his job is for, the problem isn't our front three it is the playcalling for the guys behind, Coleman is double every play as well as Jenkins. Our defense as a whole sucks but Coleman is not the problem
Coleman is a great run stuffer, IDK what you are talking about. We play a 3-4, the 3 down line man will not get their names called that often.
Yeah, like I said. DeVito was undrafted invited to camp & got on the roster. It would be a stretch to call the Brooks Bollinger move a trade. Basically, the point was that we actually got something for nuthin'.
He is supposed to eat blockers so the LB's can make plays, by drawing double teams he is accomplishing his job
Brooks Bollinger to Minnesota was a trade by every definition I'm aware of. The point is that we got CJ in a trade, not as a FA. Not bad for a "nothing" move.
Great thread. Devitos definitely a guy who deserves recognition. He does a lot with his god given talent. hes probably the least athletic guy on the field everytime hes on it, but he has a motor that doesn't quit. I remember last year during garbage time at the end of the season, he got a lot of playing time. And was typically the only guy workin his hardest out there (especially in the KC game). Im happy hes getting his shot rotating in at DE.
Sorry.....I didnt realize you were such a Brooks Bollinger fan. IMO, the JETS got the better end of the trade. My condolences, however.
the DL depth has been important all season... its good to see that one aspect of this team is in a nice position in terms of depth. Mosely has been a favorite of mine for a while and DeVito has come on strong this year.
Our backup DL is pretty good all around...I like Pouha, DeVito, and Mosley coming off the bench. Mosley has been impressive his whole time here.
I agree DWare, but I'd still like to see us bring in some more rotational defensive linemen through the draft and free agency.
