You cannot not justify 2 Sacks in the NFL. Good Game today in my opinion by Pace now if you were talking about Bryan Thomas then yeah im with you.
for the most part he is being used in a terrible way, would you really think that he could excel in coverage for 85% of a game with his size, he is a rusher and short coverage guy not a in space guy as I have seen him deep like a safety at times
Perhaps your definition of "sucks" varies greatly from the general population. My understanding of the word would be more apt to describe our safety play.
I like pace I think its a little unrealistic to think that he wont have a bit of a cold streak but yesterday he played well he almost recovered the lossman fumble if im not mistaken...thankfully he did not
if the defensive coaches can figure out the proper way to use their defensive playmakers...Pace would be even more effective.
Whoa..whoa..whoa. As long as we have the worst head coach in the game and the worst dc let's not jump to any conclusions about the talent or lack of talent on the team.
Our entire roster (including Favre) is one big "untapped resource"....because our coaches are a bunch of stubborn retards.
I agree that the coaching is terrible. But at some point these players HAVE to beat one on one matchups. Pace is completely overrated at this point. And in the OP when i said bullshit sacks what did he really do on those sacks that were great. Both time Losman was flushed out by pressure from bowens or ellis right into calvin paces arms. It's not like he really beat a block. Definition of coverage sacks. I don't care about stats. He applies absolutely no pressure. For the amount of money he's getting paid and how much praise he's getting, he needs to beat those one on one matchups and not get killed every time.
We are 9-5. I hope theres an NFL coaches only message board where coaches are going "our fans want us to do this shit like it's that easy, our fans are retards." It'd just feel right to me...people who don't do the shit you're doing always think it's easier to do than it is. And even grown men don't understand that (this and many other boards).
I'm sorry..you're right...our coaching staff rules. We should run the table right to the Superbowl with that STELLAR game plan.
One of the announcers made a point of commenting about how the Jets seemed to be staying in their rush lanes instead of trying to get off their blocks because Losman is such a good scrambler to keep him from running for a lot. Something like he won't wait for a play to develop and if the receivers aren't open that he's looking to run first. I can definitely see Sutton telling them to do this as it plays into his conservative nature perfectly.
And....what exactly was the gameplan? And what exactly is a "good gameplan" in your eyes? Whats a Super Bowl worthy one? Otherwise, I'm just gonna call bullshit as usual...saying shit sucks is different from it actually sucking. It's just your poorly supported opinion based totally on the fact that we "almost lost"...which is only an official stat in a Jet fans world. How many almost losses do we have this season? How will they affect our ability to get to the playoffs? Do we at least have fewer than other contenders? Or are we the only contender who's played a close game this year?
are you high? without the grace of god touching Ellis & the Jets yesterday in the last 2 minutes of the game....we'd be out of the playoffs. So...in my eyes....the CURRENT game plan is a piece of hot garbage....so me being the rational human being that i am...I would question the CURRENT game plan, and look to make changes....since the CURRENT game plan has blown up in our faces too many times this year. We should at least be 11-3, with the strength of our schedule..IMO.
he also is one of the league leaders in QB hurries http://www.footballoutsiders.com/extra-points/2008/hits-and-hurries-2008
So? And when the regular season ends and we're in the postseason...will this be an issue to you? So why make it one in the first place? Do you have some need to bitch? Is it absolutely necessary to harp on your team winning a close game against a division rival? And changing it to "CURRENT game plan" still doesn't explain shit. Again, it just sucks because you say so and the game was closer than you wanted it to be. I'll continue to call bullshit. I mean, what makes a shitty gameplan? Do you have any criteria for one? Or do you just call any win that isn't a blow a game we won by luck and blah blah blah? And alot of people and alot of teams should be alot of things...TF does that have to do with what they are? Especially when they're 9-5 and in first place? You call what you're using logic? Thats a very...broad definition. I think you and others bullshit whining offers absolutely zero perspective on the situations, and is done more for the enjoyment of whining. It's like..."gameplan and coaches suck." OK...how? Why? What went wrong? What do you know we dont? Whats that even based on? I had no idea that people who have all the answers to something before it's even done can call that shit "logical" when they can't even explain why.
