Justin Miller actually does something productive for Oakland and returns a kick, and then the bastard Ellis Hobbs returns one back at them. Will either team ever be likable?
Jets must beat Miami to go over Miami, even if Jets win and Miami loses next week. Miami wins common games tiebraker if they win W17, even if your best case scenario happens next week. Jets hold tiebrakers over the Patriots if they finish with the same record. So you can still lose next week so long as you beat Miami and go over Miami, but you'll need a NE loss(preferably to the Bills). Bottom line Jets MUST win 2 in a row or hope for the Ravens to lose 3 in a row
No, the Jets, Dolphins and Patriots need the Ravens to lose this week. And the next 2 games, so if one of them finishes at 10-6 they go over the 9-7 Ravens. If the Steelers lose all that does is tie up that division at 10-4 for those 2 teams and hurts any AFC East for the WC
Here it is!!! Jets win 2 and win the AFC East!! Other than that we would need NE to lose to Buffalo in week 17 so we beat them in div tie breaker and we would need Bal to lose at twice if not all three.
Antoni is right but to add along with what he has...... Denver is down right now to Carolina which is very important to the Jets in particular because unlike MIA and NE who have respective tiebreakers on DEN, NYJ would jump to the 3rd seed at the moment over DEN............. If Denver wins, they hang onto the 3rd seed for another week due to their win over us. So I am sure Denver fans want NYJ to win the AFC East so they dont have to see easily the hottest team in the NFL right now and a team who has their number, the Indy Colts. Its most important to even get in the playoffs but its ideal to grab the 3rd seed just to not get Indy.
Bingo, the only scoreboard we need to watch from here on out is the one on the Jets games. Besides, the only chance we have to make a run in the playoffs this year is to build some momentum by winning our next two games. On another note, it would be pretty awesome to see an 11-5 Pats team miss the playoffs with the Jets winning the division. Just think of how priceless that Belicheat news conference would be.
quite ironic when you think back just two weeks that all the talk was that the No.2 seed was ours and that we might even nick the No.1 spot
yeah and TEN lost their 2nd game today, too. Imagine, if we still had only 3 losses. There would be different thread titles, i bet.
No, if Bal wins today, then loses out, the Jets can still get the #6 slot with a loss to Seattle. If the Steelers win today the AFCE cannot get the 2nd seed. The Jets are the only AFCE team that can get the #2 seed. Unfortunately the Jets need Jax to beat Baltimore and Cle to beat Pit in week 17 to get the #2 seed. The fish need to beat the Jets to get in, near as I can tell. The Jets need to beat the fish to get in.
Denver can get the #2 seed by winning out if Bal wins today then Bal and Pit lose out while Den wins out.
Yeah, I thought all of the #2 seed talk was premature. My main goal was seeing us take the division first. Anything else would have been gravy. Now we're scrapping just to make it into the postseason. I would like to see Miami and NE lose simply because I don't like them, but I honestly just care about us winning. We win out we win the division. Screw the wildcard.
Anyone who doesn't want the division and the playoffs riding on the Dolphins game isn't a real fan. That's a dream scenario win and knock out the Dolphins and Pats lose and go home. Man up time.
