I had heard Boomer Esiason state that it was Buffalo's choice to host Miami in the Canada game. If that is accurate, I don't understand Buffalo's decision.
The November 17th game vs Cleveland on Monday Night Football would have been much better, I think.
I mean, don't you want to host your warm weather division rivals in your open air stadium in December? Why move the game to an indoor stadium if you have that choice.
Furthermore, I think most fans would have liked to have watched the Canada game. Browns-Bills from Toronto on MNF would have been ideal.

I admit, Rhodes is having an off year, he isn't performing the way he has. And Meriweather is having a good year. Erik Coleman had a good year once for us, and then he fell off. Consistency is what leads to elite play, Rhodes has fallen a few rungs on that ladder for me, but we will also have to see if Meriweather is the goods or just someone that opposing teams haven't worked hard enough to learn about yet. The more familiar division rivals become with the tendencies of young, up-and-coming players, the more easily they are made to be has-beens. Elite play with longevity is rare but with all of the greats to a certain age. We'll see who's the real deal and who's the imposter, guessing that both won't be an imposter.

Rhodes just has been playing centerfield on most plays to make up for everyone else sucking so we don't give up big plays. It's difficult to judge him since balls are rarely thrown anywhere near him.

we aren't actually saying this is an advantage are we? the cardinals stayed in the east coast the week before the jets game if im not mistaken and they got their ass whooped. the travel thing is a big deal, but staying in the west coast for a week is far from a big advantage. think about it, they are away from their families, their homes, their own practice facility, and their regular routine in general. the crying over every so called break the pats get is getting pathetic.

I don't know whether it helped the Patriots or not. I do know that we're 0-3 on the west coast. Whether the travel hurt is impossible to say. Losing to the Raiders may just clinch the argument in my mind.

You really think the Titans will beat either the Steelers or Colts in the playoffs? I don't.

You guys are pissed that the Pats requested the back-to-back west coast games and got it?

You should be pissed that your team wasn't smart enough to do the same!

Or as favored. Imagine, a team almost goes undefeated, having the most statistically impressive total effort in the history of the game. They are upset in the Super Bowl, less than a quarter away from sealing the deal. Completing that deal gets a lot of attention for the product. The deal fell through, so this dominant team has a cupcake schedule the following year and asks to tailor it to the best possible advantage of trying the same thing that following year... Goodell was trying to give them a second shot. And then someone threw a wrench into the works. A wrench named Bernard Pollard.

This whole thing was addressed with Kim Jones and Gary Myers yesterday. The Pats requested it this way and if the Jets had requested it, they'd be afforded the same luxary. That there are two ways to look at it, that being away from your home base for two weeks isn't easy, either.
