It's not just the loss, it's the fact that we've looked absolutely clueless the past 2 games. If the Jets want to restore confidence, then they'd better win convincingly on Sunday.

You must have set your goals too low, I and most of us are mad because 2 weeks ago we really believed we were a SB team and many analysts that get paid to talk football had us representing the AFC in the SB. This dream has been dashed in the last 2 weeks. So what if win the division or sneak into the playoffs, it is apparent to me we are not a SB team and THAT IS WHAT WE ARE ALL MAD ABOUT. I could care less about making the playoffs, we have already done that 3 or 4 times this decade, nothing new there.

Have we EVER ??? The likelyhood that this team will somehow have an epiphany and come out like they had something to prove isn't very likely. Espcially with an emotionless coach that refuses to make any adjustments or hold anyone on the roster responsible for piss poor play and planning.

Did the Giants at this point last look like a SB team? HELL NO... Last I checked we are still in 1st place and still have a good team.... I think in the AFC the only team may not be able to beat is the Steelers. We beat the Titans in there house so we know we can do that.

When we were on a 5 game roll and looking better each week it was natural for fans to be optimistic and have their hopes high. When we then drop two in a row and suddenly look like a team who could lose to anyone - and are now probably one loss away from missing the playoffs.... that's not just a bad break, it's panic time. Sure, we all hope that the better side of this team finally shows back up this coming Sunday, but if it doesn't - bye bye season. I'd say there is plenty to worry about right now.

"emotionless coach"? oh my bad that right BB for the Pats just jump up and down on the sidelines and he won how many SB?
I will be the 1st to admit I am not a big EM fan but he did have this team looking GREAT.. we have a few games to get it back and the funny part is WHEN the Jets win this Sunday all this talk will go away,

Its so like the Jets to sneak into the playoffs, lose a second round pick for the Fav-ra trade, he then retires for good and we lose the chance to get Cowher in the process.

Na, I think most fans have the right to be mad and gloomy. The past 2 weeks this team looks horrible and it seems like teams have figured a way to beat us, but we can't make the adjustments. Not good for this time of the year, I don't see how we win out, but we'll see.

I see what your saying but don't start worry UNTIL this team is one of those teams they call "in the playoff hunt"

He ain't Belichek. Nobody is. EM needs to stop being a clone/drone and show something to his team. Its easy to coach a team when they're rolling. Its hard when they're not and this team is either gassed due to poor physical conditioning or figured they had the AFC already wrapped up and decided to take the rest of the year off.

Either way, put it on the CS. It's their job to keep players motivated and come up with ways to win instead of reasons why they lost.

NEWS ALERT Cower will NOT be back in coaching next year..mark that down. He loves what he doing now...every year since he retired u always hear "RUMORS" and they call them that for a reason.

Exactly, fans have the right to panic. This game against the Bills is our season. We cannot lose at home to a team that is on a worst skid then we are.

There is no "chilling" this week. A loss not only means we most likely miss the playoffs, it also means Favre will hang it up, the spending spree that Tanny pulled off in the summer will be considered a failure, the criticism on Mangini and his lack of emotion and in game adjustments will be highly publicized and a whole other rash of negativity will await us until next Sept when a new season starts. So no we should not sit back and chill, if you understand the big picture its all or nothing this week against Buff and based on the last two weeks we have played like a BOTTOM 5 team in the entire league. No if ands or buts about that.

I don't understand why the spending spree would be cinsidered a failure. Did we sign them all to 1 year contracts?

Forget the chilling, somebody needs to light the fire. Somebody in that locker room (coaches/players) needs to fire this team up. It's time to see who the leaders are on this team. It's truly unbelievable how this team has been playing so flat, uninspired and with a lack of focus over the past couple weeks.

Yes, I am hitting the panic button...We need to win the rest for a playoff run. It's time to get physical, play with some intensity, eliminate stupid mistakes, and put fear in the opponent.

    Who's gona step up?

I think we may match up better against the Steelers than several other AFC teams. To be honest, if we make the playoffs, I'd be a lot happier facing Tennessee or Pittsburgh or Baltimore than a team with a huge passing offense, like Indy or Denver or even NE.
