Dont jump on me and bite my head off. But juste watching him the past 2 games, the man has all the physical ability. His bull rush is impressive around the edge but his technique is scary bad. he has zero hand skills and thats y he suffers shedding blocks. I think working with LT this offseason will do wonders for him. Woodley of the steelers suffered from similiar problems last season. Now? he is a premiere pass rusher. LEts not forget gholston miss every mini camp because of the ohio state policy. He also is playign a new position but clearly is more comfortable playing defensive end as hes done in the last 2 games spelling ellis.

OBviously gholstons progress means nothing for us this season. However, considering our cap next season and how bad our pass rush is right now, this is not an area we can afford to waste another draft pick or loads of $$$ on. I am going to go out on a limb and predict vernon gholston will have double digit sacks next season while replacing bryan i suck thomas in the process.

if you watch him on film its just his hand technique, he has no real pass rushing moves other than a bull rush and even in that u need to be able to get off the block at the end. He cant get him self disengaged from the block and thats because of his arm and hands technique.. this can be taught, its happened before and im fairly confident its gonna happen for vernon

Mate, don't even bother responding to trash posts like that. You made a valid point but some people don't like hearing honest observations.
