Ellis better not be suspended by the NFL

    They didn't suspend Kareem McKenzie after he got arrested for DUI so they better not suspend Ellis either. I'm not saying Ellis did anything right but whats fair is fair. If the Jets want to suspend him then thats fine but the NFL shouldn't.

    I don't think it'll be a problem. 1st time offenders aren't suspended. At least I don't think they aren't.

    Let them run the table, and then suspend him on the 1st round bye week.

    Same thing happened to Santonio Holmes i think, he got a 1 game suspension.

    I think he was suspended by the team. That may be the best way to go, and I think the Jets will wait for the Seattle game to do it.

    As pointed out by others the NFL didn't suspend him, it was the Steelers who did.

    Mangini already said he'll be playing Sunday and that they've dealt with internal discipline already. Sorry to break the bad news to ya. :rolleyes:

    I agree with you here. I think the team should suspend Ellis at least for 1 game. This would've been the perfect opportunity with the 9ers coming up. He brought it upon himself, Rook or Vet, you make a mistake like that, then you need to sit.

    I wonder if the steelers had not suspended holmes for a game if the nfl would have. I guess we will never know the answer to that question. Mary jane is a nice girl people should not be punished for hanging out with her.

    F that, we need Ellis therefore we don't suspend him. He was stupid for carrying it on him but cmon now, it was freaking weed, who cares.

    Why would anyone want one of our starting DL to get suspended? I hope he doesn't get suspended at all and learns from this and doesn't put his team in this situation again in the future.
