WTF was he thinking driving like this next to a cop car? Did he wake and bake or was he just up all night? He got pulled over at 8AM! A Hanover Township police officer made the stop Saturday at 8:37 a.m. after Ellis allegedly approached a police car from behind at high speed on Route 287 South, pulled even and briefly slowed down, then passed the police car and exited onto Route 24, police said.
It's probably just a one game suspension. Dumbass thing to do though, no doubt, but it's not the end of the world. If he's going to be driving around with drugs and paraphernalia, he should at least bring along his insurance card and drive safely at or below the posted speed limit though. Well, one committed a felony, the other didn't. In the eyes of the legislature, there's a big difference there.
Now maybe we're getting closer to understanding the underwhelming performance against the Broncos. Those guys showed up to play some football. Ellis showed up still coming off a lovely, chilled-out weekend.
I don't remember if it was the Post or Daily News, but one of those papers jinxed us yesterday, saying how we were one of the few teams to have been good all season long with not having any distractions (Giants with Plax, Saints and Vikings with the banned substances users, etc) Not a good look at all Shaun, came at the wrong time too (not that any time would be the right time).
Yeah, did Ellis make any impact at all against the Broncos or did he spend all game worried about what would happen when this hit the papers?
Good point though. And no, I don't think he's at all comparing smoking weed to "almost killing people." What he's saying is, since Ellis was arrested on Saturday morning, did it somehow affect his play on Sunday afternoon? It's very possible. I think it (the arrest and subsequent outcome) might have a profound affect on anyone. For certain it had to be a major distraction at the very least.
He must have been watching Ricky Bobby before leaving for work. Apparently it was time for a little Shake....and Bake.
Could have even been a Patriots fan. Seriously though, fellas. I think Mangini comes down hard on this. Just sayin'...
Stupidity must be contagious.. Not like Ellis has been lighting it up lately on the field anyways but damn, how fckn stupid can a professional athelete be? I guess we found our roster spot for Clowney now... Sh!t !!!!!!
i second the confusion about how he (1) would drive stupidly next to a police car, and (2) could possibly have any justification for not having insurance. unbelievable.
