Something else I just recalled a moment ago. Didn't Cotchery drop a relatively easy ball on 4th down that would have given the Jets 1st and goal? Its pretty tough for a QB to orchestrate a comeback when WRs aren't making plays.
There's plenty of blame to go around, folks. Its not all on #4. Brett is probably about 5th on the list of reasons why the Jets got rolled by the Broncos.

Everyone on both sides dropped the ball; when it's cold and raining, that'll happen. It's not exactly fair to call out Coles and Cotch. They've always been solid players for us.. why is it that all of a sudden they're being perceived as overrated slow droppers who can't get open?

They've been slow all year. Coles has been bad a going after jump balls all year. Cotch has made a couple nice grabs over ppl so I can't complain there even with his average athleticism.

Favre is Favre. When we least expect it he will make a great comeback.

Favre is a 40 year old over the hill, past his prime shadow of his former self. Still one of the better QB's in the league and a huge upgrade for this team.

Maybe he can't get it done anymore? He looked pretty good in the toughest part of our schedule before last week. He sucked less than Coles and Cotch last week. Least of our problems.

they just seemed to hit a wall this week. maybe this team is just learning what its like to win. give them time, they will get the hang of it.

Lol so the wr's get slack for dropping balls because of the weather but the weather shouldn't affect the qb's performance? Is that correct? And I've been saying all year coles and cotch can't get seperation we need a better wr maybe tj will want out of cincy and we can make a move on him this off season

My biggest criticism of Favre is that he has not been accurate throwing downfield, which has very little to do with the weather.

You're saying we need another possession receiver?

the only times where he's had ppl open down field and he's thrown it our receivers got PI'd. happened with Keller and Coles recently. other than that no one's been open, ever.

No I'm saying we need a wr who can get open. My brother in law is a bengels fan so I've had the sad experience of watching some of there games. Tj can get seperation our current wr's lack that ability.

Maybe its "all of a sudden" for you. I've been thinking this for a while now. They're simply not open enough. Perhaps they need to work a bit harder on route running. Rounding off routes or developing tendencies make it easier for DBs to defend them.

He's never been a great deep ball thrower. Who the hell ever said he was?

It's silly, we were one drive away from the win. A comeback is down 14-20 points at some point. The reason we had to "come back" was b/c he threw an awful INT so why should he be celebrated for getting the score back?

You use the slip excuse again but there were 2-3 Raider defenders around Cotchery, it was a bad decision that cost us.

Again w/ the Baker excuse. If he leads us to more than 13 pts at Oak we win, we should never have needed OT to beat that team. it's not like we lost 33-30 in OT where he and the O did all they could. They scored 13 pts in 5 qtrs against a pathetic defense but of course it was everyone else's fault.

Why were they able to do it for Chad? and even Clemens at times last year when we stunk and had no running game?

Apparently you didn't read my posts where I said I wouldn't say anything negative b/c he had been playing well until Sunday but no a 3 pt comeback is not a big deal especially when we wouldn't have needed the comeback if he didn't keep KC in the game.

He's not wrong, he hasn't led us to a W when trailing at the half.

-8 wins we have been ahead 7 times and tied once(KC). He and the O get credit for that though b/c it's a good thing to be up at the half.

-4 losses we trailed 3 times and were tied once(Oak).

I haven't reseacrhed it yet but ESPN gave a stat during the SD game that Favre had never led a team back after trailing by 14 pts. I still can't believe that's true but if it is it's shocking.

"BF hasn't brought the Jets back from being behind at the half to win this whole season"

Is that supposed to be a stat that anybody even thinks about, much less cares about? We have 8 wins. I think that is the stat that matters.
