    From CBS Sportsline:

"The NFL has suspended Charles Grant, Deuce McAllister and Will Smith of the Saints, Vikings defensive linemen Pat Williams and Kevin Williams and Houston's Bryan Pittman for violating its steroid policy. Each player will miss the final four games of the regular season."

What I heard was that the players will go to court to seek an injunction to prevent the NFL from suspending them just yet.

and yet still crowder and light get no suspension for starting a fist fight... unbelieveable.

also any chance the Saints had of squeaking in the back door of the playoffs is gone.

Vikings could easily still get in, that division is so terrible, and I believe they own the tie breakers on chicago which makes it a 2 game lead over them and a 3 game lead over GB, so they would need an utter collapse to fail to get in at this point, likely 8-8, 9-7 will do it for them,

Only because the primary Combatant plays for Boston. I can't wait to see the fine the NFL slams on Ryan Clark, he may have to foreclose. You don't mess with Adolf Goodell's favorite NFL team

I don't mean to be a ninny, but what's with the double post? You seem to do that a lot, especially in the NFL game threads. I mean, if it's just to boost your post count, which you seem to be real proud of for some reason, then that's just sad.

I try to avoid that outside of game threads. Sorry. The reason I did it here was to avoid editing the lead post, which is a no no.

Minnesota and New Orleans should be eliminated from playoff contention. I don't think Minnesota will make the playoffs if these stand up.

agreed and as I said numerous times in the light crowder fight threads, that Light deserved a months suspension, and Crowder didnt even deserve a fine. Hell if you get tossed from a game, it's my thoughts you fucked up big time and deserve a suspension. Which btw goes on with my belief that Crowder didnt deserve an ejection when i watched it live, and i still dont think he deserved it.

They make rules on the spot for Boston man lol. According to the NFL Crowder was responsible because he was talking shit, which happens in every game every week. So apparently the new rule is if someone talks shit you can go ahead and start clocking the guy and play next week. Okay.

Which reminds me, where's that Youtube video of Wes Welker telling someone to sit the fuck down?

Pretty lame decision in my book. Not having the banned substance on the label is sufficient proof of innocence. But I think the NFL didn't want to go down the slippery slope of letting anyone off the hook in regards to supplements. That would open up too many potential future problems. So they just slam the current players and be done with it - regardless of whether the decision is fair or not.

St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - A Minnesota judge has blocked the suspensions of Vikings defensive linemen Pat Williams and Kevin Williams, whom the NFL banished for four games apiece Tuesday after violating the league's anti-doping policy.

Yep. This was the game I thought they had a chance at (although with the way they tackled and pursued against Tennessee, I don't know how they'd stop AD even with 9 in the box) with the core of the D out. If Pat and Kevin play, Detroit doesn't win.
