BF hasn't brought the Jets back from being behind at the half to win this whole season, while Pennington did just that against BUF. Mr. Magoo can't bring the team back from behind because he can't buy time with his legs in obvious passing situations and the OLine can't protect him long enough. While he can make impressive deep throws over the middle, deep sideline passes are thrown by Brett Magoo. Our WRs aren't the best at getting open, our OLine can't pass protect for very long and our QB is a statue, good bye deep passing game. Once teams figure this out they are gonna shut things down. Man does not live by screen passes alone.

are you kidding me, do you remember the pats game where he REPEATEDLY drove us down the field, matching scores and ultimately winning the game. Were 8-4 we had one bad week, stop whining

No question, Father Time has been struggling as of late. Some of the blame goes to the O-line, but a lot rests on him.

your telling me Favre can't bring us back from behind because he can't buy time with his legs, by running like Matt freaking Cassel?

um, what about in Oakland? drove down the field to force overtime? What about against the Patriots? drove down the field in OT with absolutely NO momentum working for him? those just don't count? Chiefs game? TD pass to Coles to win it? doesnt count either?

How about the couple of drives he made in the second half of the broncos game? I thought we'd have punched it in to make it 21-24, then broncos littered the field, slowing us down, and then we blew multiple 3rd and 4th downs with shitty play calls. Not Bretts fault the defense covered people on shitty play calls.

Also we are 8-4! Jesus Christ! how many games were we even down in the second half the last 6 weeks? forget when we needed to make a major comback to win it? once? against Denver?

Against the Chargers we sucked, in all facets of the game. Against Oakland he got us to OT, and it took a record setting field goal to beat us. Pats game your right, he couldnt get it done, IN HIS SECOND WEEK IN THE SYSTEM! so yeah, favre hasn't led a comeback to win a game when we were down big in the fourth quarter, he just won us an OT game, got us to OT, and drove down the field and beat the Cheifs to correct his own mistakes.

yeah i take it back, favre does suck ass doesnt he?

He didn't lead us back against NE, we were tied. At oak we lost the game. His point is valid but he's been playing too well(until this week) for me to criticize him right now.

I think the Jets were behind at some point in the second half against the Chiefs, but still came out with the victory. Also, Favre sure helped secure that win against NE in OT, so I wouldn't really call him inept in those situations.

And aside from that, just how many times have the Jets actually been behind this year anyway? Four times? And one of those was a blowout game to SD.

Let's look on the bright side... he hasn't cost us a game this year.... Don't say the Chargers, with the circumstances of that game in week 3 the Jets were never going to win.

Chill out. I'm just saying we beat the Pats and Titans with a solid running game, screens, and short passes up the middle to Keller. Favre has been struggling when he's asked to do more than that. Maybe his shoulder is still a little sore, maybe he's just too old. I don't know.. I just call them as I see them.

I don't really consider being down by 3-4 pts a comeback.

I think he cost us the oakland game, there's no excuse for leading our O to 13 pts in 5 qtrs against that team and he did throw an INT in the EZ.

He's played great late in some games. He drove us down the field for a win against KC in the final minutes with a TD (this would be a comeback), drove us down for a game tying FG against Oakland and if Baker doesn't drop a pass in OT there is your FG for the win, he was clutch in the final two drives to win us the game against the Patriots including the game winner in OT, he had a long drive to ice the game against Buffalo, and played clutch at the end of the Titans game. He's played clutch at the end of games this season so far.

This is a stat that disturbs me the most, and is the exact reason why I began to have a very bad feeling about the last game after we went down 7-0 early in the 1st quarter.

I don't want to be a team that HAS to score often and early in order to win football games. Chances are that we're going to fall behind at least once in the playoffs.

    Ugh.

    Yup.

Not to mention we're 8-4 and have one of the highest scoring teams in the league. The offense and defense sucked on Sunday.

What about the Chiefs game? Wasn't that a 2nd half comeback?

Being one of the "original darksiders" on this board, I don't understand the gripes of some fans. Why is Farve NOT leading many comebacks an issue? Good Lord!!! Would it be better if we were behind? I'm sure Farve would prefer NOT having to play Capt. Comeback week in and week out.

We're 8-4 BECAUSE of Brett Farve, not INSPITE of Brett Farve. That he's not the Brett Farve of yesterday is a known fact. That the Jets don't stretch the field isn't his fault. He's playing well and has adapted to the role this CS has asked of him. Nothing more or less. When Farve tried to be Superman, it resulted in multiple INT's and a rebuke from the HC. Now? He's a game manager and the team has been winning up to its last game.

The Jets have big play personnel, but it requires alot of luck to actually pull off a big play. Otherwise, most NFL games would be of the Arena Football type of scoring.

Complain all you want. That's our God given right as Jet fans. Just do it when its appropiate. Otherwise, its whiny bitching and that shouldn't be what Jet fans are about...
