Really they are the worst team in the league. Hell, they lost to Oakland and now to Denver. I mean all they can win in five game in a row? Any team that can't win six games in a row sucks. It's pathetic trying to root for this team. They didn't even try today. Fire Mangini and the rest of his staff. Get rid of all the players. Heck, if this is how they're gonna play why bother. Hell even Herm knows you play to win the game! I mean all they have is a one game lead in the division? How pathetic is that? I just think we should all stop rooting for the Jets. Because really they just suck. :shit:
Can all the regulars on this message board do us all a favor and just ignore this guy? Cheez whiz! And you guys used to think that I'm too obnoxious for words!
is this a joke? I understand being upset, but the things you said are a bit childlike. If you want to vent go to the same old jets thread that is a little more coherent and mature. I apologize if you were only kidding and I didnt catch your humor, but you cant be serious.
My apologies if he was, it just didnt seem like it at first, its not out of the question with some of these jets fans.
Nah, he was on here right after the game with this same tired stuff. Please... This is the last time I am suggesting we ignore him--unless you guys are two trolls trying to post this boring crap... LEAVE IT ALONE.
Thanks for the 411, my apologies... But it's difficult to figure out the "sarcastic" comments from the other comments... And: Jokes are funnier when people understand them, and sarcasm is difficult to deliver over the Internet.
yes, sarcasm through text is not easy. sometimes i'll just post "sarcasm???" to clarify whats going on. imagine a TGG where we have to speak into the PC to post instead of typing? That would be crazy. But funnier.
The Jets are 1-3 against the worst division in football, the AFC left coast. If it weren't for a great catch on an underthrown Favre pass in the waning seconds of a desperation 4th Quarter comeback against the Tyler Thigpen-led Herminators, it would be 0-4. And JaMarcus Russell is 1-0 against us.
I don't understand why people can't just sit back and enjoy the season. This is the most fun I've had watching a Jet team in years, and that includes 1998. The team is 8-4 and in first place in the division. I actually expect them to finish at 12-4. Wow! 12-4 or even 11-5 and the playoffs? After last year how much more do fans want? Yes the team has weaknesses, especially the pass defense, but most other teams have weaknesses as well. What they've shown is they can beat anyone and lose to anyone, but more often is going to be the former. Just enjoy the ride and have some fun. If you're going to live week to week you'll never enjoy being a fan because only one team has ever gone undefeated for an entire season. :metal:
You're so right man. How dare they not extend it to a six game win streak and completely embarass us in front of the whole nation. It's worse enough when you don't go 16-0... 8-4 and 1st place after 12 weeks?? Unacceptable. Fire the entire staff, cut every player, and start a petition that Woody sell the team to some guy from Boston and we can just move the team to Boston so they can have two teams. And none of us ever watch football ever again, because we lost to Denver today.
I think it's more how we lose, and the situations we lose in. We had a pretty easy schedule this year, it's all right to hit a few hiccups, but we've already dropped 4, and 2 of those were embarrassing national games. The Chargers, Raiders and honestly, the Broncos, are not good teams. They all frankly suck. Losing to Cassel in his first start sucked too. I mean you expect to lose one or two of those, but we've lost 4 and two weren't even close at all. Remember last year? Nobody really expected much from this team because the talent level just was not there, and the schedule was pretty tough. So even with all those losses, we weren't happy with them, but it wasn't really that frustrating. We sucked. But this year, the schedule is easy and this is a very talented team. I think we're far more talented than the teams we lost to, with the possible exception of the Patriots. I mean why blow out the Titans if you're going to follow it up with this effort? If the results were switched around, I don't think people would be complaining much. Everyone would just say we got beat by the superior team in the Titans.
The reason the Jets beat the Titans is because they are a running team and up until today at least, the Jets were stuffing the run. The Titans are not a great passing team, so those two factors played in the Jets favor. The Broncos are a passing team, and any team that can pass and play some pass defense is going to give the Jets a difficult time. It's fairly easy to see how the Jets beat the Titans and lost to Broncos. I do think they match up better with the remaining teams on their schedule and could sweep the rest of their regular season games.
Any "long time" fan knew that was coming. As soon as you get your hopes up, they crush you. It is par for the course.
We have no pass rush and outside of Revis and Rhodes when we are playing 5 and 6 defensive backs 3 to 4 of them are at best journeyman NFL players. The nickel and dime package our DC and HC is in love with dramatically reduces the defensive talent we put on the field. We go from well above average personal in running situations to well below average personal in passing situations. Huge issue if we have to face the Colts or Denver in an early round playoff matchup.
