I thought I saw another Bronco flop an injury, If you even touch them with a feather, they are gonna fall down, and pretend to be injured.
I hate losses as much as the next guy, but we needed to be humbled somehow. Enough of this SB favorite talk and this 1st round bye crap. It'll be huge if we can just freaking win the division alone. Lets worry about that before hand......... I was getting sick of the potential NY SB talk. That's getting into the opponents' heads and they're taking it out on us. Run defense better play good or else Gore will show them some Gore. Thankfully SF won which makes them less urgent for the W as opposed to us.
I'm a moron because I'm right and you can't control your emotions? You CAN'T challenge it. But hey, if you think you know the rules better than the refs, the announcers, and just about everyone else then that's your problem.
nah dude that call was dumb, we fumbled cotch fell on it and when the denver guy jumped on him the ball popped out, he was down by contact, the refs are dumb and have made shitty calls in the nfl this season so a ref in my mind is not credible anymore, and fuck those announcers today
The Broncos challenged Thomas Jone's 2nd touchdown in the SAME GAME! What do you have to say to that?
Hahaha. Yes, there is that. But this was not the most frustrating Jets game I've ever seen. Far from it, in the 43 years I have been watching the Jets.
Thank you! The subway SB talk needs to end, unless the Jets & Giants actually make it there, which isn't until February.
Redherring fool. You're an idiot because you put blind faith in the refs and the announcers (an NBA guy who doesn't know shit about the NFL, and Rich Gannon who wasn't even hiding the fact that he was rooting for the Broncos). Yeah, like the refs are never wrong. We all know that's true! Down by contact before a fumble is challengeable, you will see it challenged in almost every week in the NFL. You very clearly have no grasp on the game of football, and don't even care to defend your bogus asserstions. Your only argument is that "the refs and the announcers know the rules." REALLY? Are you that short-sighted? If you care to explain and substantiate your bullshit claims, which I know you won't do (because you can't) then maybe your posts will get some shed of legitimacy. Instead all your posts here are too bitch about Mangini and root against the team that you supposedly are a fan of.
Shittttttttt I'll take a WC spot even. We were a 4 win team, to just make the playoffs is an steady improvement.
look everyone saw that Cotch fell on it. but whether or not he had control is a completely separate issue. Look at the muffed kick return that the broncos guy had. he "fell" on it twice but only actually got possession the 2nd time he jumped on it. you guys wanna argue that cotch had possession that's fine (maybe he did, maybe he didn't) but you CANNOT challenge that
I agree, I felt the whole game was boring to watch and we played horrible. I was at one point punching our ottoman. and I agree we need to stop the talk about the Subway SB... and quit calling it that, the teams aren't even in New York.
Thomas Jones's play was challenged to see if he was down. It was the same situation for the Cotchery play. Cotchery clearly had possession and was down because he was holding onto the ball and his knees, feet, and arms were touching the ground. They botched the call by saying that the play was about Cotchery having possesion or not. HE HAD POSSESSION. The Jets were not allowed to challenge a play that they should have been able to.
"I saw the stats and it didnt seem like it, i'd rather not have those big runs and replace them with consistant runs of 4 to 5 yards and run downfield all day rather then having a breakaway here and their" Great observation. Jets were unable to do that because they lost the war on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
You could not tell clearly if Cotchery had possession, so even if they were allowed the challenge (which they should have been), the evidence to overturn was INCONCLUSIVE. The Jets wound up saving a time out on that play.
