This is the first game the Jets are looked at as a winning team and they fed into it...the urgency simply wasnt there all day... the defense wasnt there, the offense wasnt making the big play...the offensive playcalling was garbage....3rd and 1 and two play action passes in a row? please youve got to be kidding me... vernon gholston had a sack and decided to try and jog his way to cutler.... this team looked flat...and flat out bad today... but even worse...is after halftime the crowd thinned out...some people just should not have season tickets....an i call out all jets fans who were at that game and decided to leave at halftime...its pathetic and they should be ashamed of themselves...
schotty calls the worst plays at the worst time. 3rd and 1, 4th and 1, you call 2 playaction plays, thats just downright horrific
I don't think the Jets let their record get to their heads. We lost because of the weather, questionable play-calling at times, horrible refs, cheap tactics by the Broncos, and just missing opportunity after opportunity.
im not sure about that...they werent playing with the same urgency we've seen from them as of late...and dont point out the weather...both teams played in the weather today...the refs werent horrible they were right on 3 out of 4 questionable calls ..... btw...another bronco goes down in a timely fashion...this is bullshit and i want the jets to protest this to the commissioners office...b/c all of these players are on the field not 3 plays later making plays
Tackling and coverage was shit today. But the playcalling? What about that last drive? 1 st and goal inside the 5 and they don't run? horrible!
we can't stop teams passing on us.... we can't pressure the QB... Mangina tends to get outcoached by good coaches
Bottom line Cutler is a very good QB and we didn't so much as hit him one time today. We let a deadly accurate QB with a great arm sit back and pick us apart.
Defence played a terrible game, missing tackles, and being out of position. What bothers me is offencive play calling. I can tolerate the players having a bad game, even an entire unit. I cannot tolerate bad play calling. The first game we play in inclement weather, on third AND forth and one we pass?! that is unacceptable! Shotty has been calling good games when it has mattered, but he just can't get away from these "tricky" play calls in obvious running situations. There is nothing wrong with lining up and saying stop me when you have the AFC's leading rusher and it is raining! This does not change my opinion of who we are or where we are going (especially with the NE loss), but it is time For Shotty to grow up and call plays that an NFL OC should call in this weather with this talent.
Did we really need three postgame threads from TurkJetFan? I know that the sun will shine tomorrow and everything will be allright though now thanks to these posts.
Mike Shannahan is a shrewd douchbag. How the fuck did all these players go down while the Jets were trying to get into a rhythm. The Jets really did just come out flat today. And either way, they just could not get into a groove. I dont think the play calling was terrible but I just did not see consistent execution by the players. Mike Shannahan is still a douchbag.
do we really need someone who i've never even seen post on this board comment on my threads? not really... they are three separate topics....can you count to three??
That is a good point I've never seen that many players go down in one game let alone on one side of the ball. At least no one went down because of dirty cut blocks, a staple of Denver's line blocking
