Not saying you are wrong at all. In fact...the way you describe it..I totally agree with you. My point is that, I too thought it to be a linebacker issue with coverage down the middle...after watching the last couple games...it seems to me more of a lack of pass rush (which a good pass rush can hide any flaws). Not sure I totally agree with the Pats/Vikings comparison. I see where you are going with it...just that like you mentioned...our pass defense is much better then the Vikings was. Most importantly, only the Pats and the Colts over the past couple years could say "screw the gameplan" and throw the ball 80% of the time. There is not a team right now in the NFL that can do that and get away with it.
