This is definitely true. Look at some of the big market match-ups we've seen in the Superbowl the last 10 years. Chicago-Indianapolis. Pittsburgh-Seattle. Tampa Bay-Oakland. We're talking juggernaut metropolises here.

if I wasn't bored, this response would be a time waste.

You can only fix the schedule if there are no rules for choosing it. THe NFL schedule is chosen based on a formal process. The author is a moron - who probably is buying Hern's excuses

So the NFL can see how the season will play out, full season ahead? What the hell are they doing, goofing around with trivial things such as scheduling? They should be buying lottery tickets from all of the 51 states - that will help dealing with revenue sharing between the owners and players, no? They can help themselves while they are at it too.

    What a moron.

Great conspiracy theory. I think the guy missed the fact that the AFC East schedule was pretty similiar for everyone and I think we just played the Pats and TN on the road and the Giants finish with Washington, Philadelphia, Dallas, Carolina and Minn. Not exactly a dream schedule for a NY NY SB.

What a load of crap. And they planned this all before the seaons started? The Patsies have had an easy schedule too. And the Fish. Come on. What complete crap. Whats the matter KC? Can't get over the fact that you got Herm and we got better?

*cough*, the scheduled opponents are made in advance, and the schedule was released before most of the moves to the jets were made.

In fact, what is it, two years from now the Jets play the packers? Be VERY interesting if Brett Stayed that long just to get a shot against his former team. Seriously, many analysts are saying Brett can play this quick slant style passing game with TJ running the ball for another 3 or 4 seasons if he really wants too. That's just crazy to think that even if brett walks away after this season (hopefully with a SB ring) that he STILL has enough in the tank to be a top QB at age 40.

If the writers team was winning this article wouldn't have been written.

You wish you were from New York.

So they fixed the Pats schedule last year, which was the easiest in football?

That's more a testament to the shittiness of the NFC than anything else.

It almost seems like a joke article, but then you realize they probably like Herm as the HC out there, so you just realize they're that stupid.

Agreed.. Just because the Chiefs couldn't beat Ball St., now they have to diminish anything any other rebounding team accomplishes. He would be better served asking why Herm Edwards is still coaching the Chiefs into the NFL graveyard.

    Whatta fckn asswipe!!!

Yes, Roger Goodell put on Bernard Pollard's uniform and took out Tom brady's knee. Masterful move. I can't believe a KC writer doesn't see this.

If you're going to write a conspiracy theory the schedule sure doesn't make the argument. I would have gotten into how the league convinced Fanneca, Pace and Jenkins to sign with the Jets and than the league convinced Favre to come back and sign with the Jets.
