Can you folks imagine that!!. the giants had the road go thru NJ back in 2000 and the place was rockin but can you just imagine what it would be like if the jets hosted the AFC championship game...... geezus i would have to take a few sedatives of my choice each day starting the monday before..... this is not foolish banter folks - it is a reality that can happen. IMO the titans are gift wrapped for a divisional round knockout - especially after what we saw on sunday. so the #2 slides right in there. how about it - jets vs pats for AFC championship. enjoy the ride jil
I would love to attend an AFC Championship game, best I've done so far is first round games in 1986 and 2002. Couldn't get a ticket for the 1998 second round game and if they get the bye this year I'll be away and miss that. So my hopes are riding on hosting this bitch. Let's do it!
If we win the next 6 games in a row; the AFC Championship Game will definitely come to NY. I think that is what it will take. We would need to run the table on the rest of the regular season and then win the divisional playoff in our house after the bye.
There was no better feeling as a Jets fan walking out of the stadium after just destroying the Jags to make it to the championship game. I'd imagine leaving the stadium after advancing to the SB will be just a tad better.
The real question is what if both the AFC & NFC championship games go through NY? What would happen? I guess they would have to have a Saturday game, I really hope the Jets get the Sunday game.
Wild Card Round (1) Titans 13-3 (bye) (2) Jets 12-4 (bye) (3) Pitt 10-6 vs (6) NE 11-5 (WC2) (4) Denver 9-7 vs (5) Colts 11-5 (WC1) Divisional Round (1) Titans vs (6) NE (2) Jets vs (5) Colts AFC Championship Round (2) Jets vs (6) NE Super Bowl ? vs the (1) Giants
if we can beat the colts at home and ne can beat the tits just like we did, you're looking at a jets/pats afc championship rubber match

I read a blub in this morning's Star-Ledger where Goodall has already adressed this. If the Giants and the Jets need to play on the same weekend at Giants Stadium, there will be no double-header. Instead, he said he's leaning toward making them both NIGHT GAMES. One game would be played on Sunday night and the other on Monday night. That kinda sucks. I'l be there, but I hate those cold late-night games. And people in my family who have to work the next day... it makes it rougher on them. But hey, if the Jets are in it, I don't care if they play it at 4AM, I'll be there.
That is much better than having one team play on a Saturday for the Conference Championship. I started a thread on this on Monday.
I just like day games better... just me. I think the players like them also. But you can turn it around too. How'd you like to be the Titans and have to travel up to NJ and play a Monday night game in frigid temperatures? Or the Colts, who play indoors. It takes it's toll on the travel team a little more than the home team, I would imagine.
was there and agree, was cold day and don't remember even feeling it as we sang NewYork New York and the place was packed 15 minutes after game ended. Other then plaxico buress game against GB last year, keshawn had the best game a reciever ever had in a big spot- he had two touchdowns I believe recieving, got knocked out on one on reverse for a rushing touchdown, about 10 catches for 150 yards, made a saving tackle on a Vinny pick and had an interception on hail mary at end of game as he was inserted on defense.
just checked keshawns stats make sure I was not getting out of line 9 catches for 122 and a touchdown, 2 carries for 28 yds and touchdown, tackled on 1 or would have had another, then had interception not bad 150 yds rushing, recieving 9 catches, 2 touchdowns and interception damn
There is absolutely no way a Giants championship game will be played at night. It will be on Sunday afternoon. The Jets championship game will be played on Monday night.
