I haven't noticed this myself really, but my friend in west coast tells me, Cutler has a few glaring weaknesses.

    1. He locks down on his primary receiver - mostly Brandon Marshall, usually down the right sideline.

    2. He almost never throws his passes to the checkdown receivers.

In other words, he's almost completely Anti-Chad; got a strong arm, locks down on receiver, and no checkdown.

Could we take advantage of this?

Revis could have a field day. Rhodes could too. I trust that Mangini sees this.

If he's stubborn enough to try to force it to Marshall, ignoring the fact that Revis will have him on lock, and there will be open receivers elsewhere, we'll blow them out....

I'm sure he won't be that foolish though

Every game I have seen, he throws to Marshall way too much. If its a 3rd down especially.

I'm more worried about the TE's...few people outside of Denver realize how nasty Tony Scheffler is when he actually hits the field. Graham isn't too bad himself.

Cutler knows how to spread the ball to his WRs, and his O-line has given him all the time he needs this year.

Royal, Marshall, Scheffler, and Graham will be a problem for us.

It's true he tends to lock on his WRs, but he also knows not to do it when he has to...which is why he's one of the better young QBs in the league as far as 4th quarter QBs go.

W/e...I expect our D-line to expose their O-line which'll hopefully fuck with him.

Either that or we're shooting it out with a pissed off Shanny and Cutler.

Yeah, a lot of Bronco fans complain about him forcing the ball to Marshall constantly and never going to his checkdowns. Mangini is known (as is his mentor, Mr. Belichick) for taking away a quarterback's number 1 target, and in general, taking away what a team does best. A big part of attacking the Jets Pass defense is going to the 2nd and third receivers. I mean think about it, there have been very few number 1 receivers who have had big days against the Jets this season. I wouldn't expect Marshall to be open much. I would expect either Revis to be on him whenever they play underneath man coverage and I would expect the Jets to roll their zone coverage to his side of the field like they do with Moss when they play the Pats.

Revis is gonna pimp smack the shit out of Marshall.

I'm more worried about Lowery on Royal and Pace on Scheffler.

And once again...the Ty Law signing might just come in handy...man our FO kicks ass...

    too right

I watch Denver whenever they are on tv and he does like to go to him a lot

I think Cutler is a very promising young QB who could show maturity against a "team to beat" New York Jets

Their D is so bad that they need to score on virtually every drive to get a win

I don't think for 1 second that we are going to allow this and I also think we will score a hat full of points in the process

    Jets 41
    Denver - 32

Another thing that might play in our favor:

    We are a better team.

I don't see why Revis is expected to shut down Marshall, for one thing Marshall is much taller than Revis.

Actually Chad started staring down receivers more often in his last couple years here.

This is definitely something our D can take advantage of.

he keeps everyone in check. Its not the height, its the technique in which you cover a WR.

    He keeps Moss in check.

    This is the truth.

The way to beat this team is to keep cutler off the field. Run the ball down their throats. Don't let Cutler beat you for any BIG plays. The jets have been very good at this so far this year. Give up a lot of completions underneath, and yardage, but seldom the home run ball.

If the Jets can run the ball, and they should, Denver is 27th in the League against the run, Favre can pick his spots. The Raiders only threw the ball 11 times.

I expect at least 3 picks this game. I just hope we don't sit back in a soft defense which we have a tendency to do when we get out to an early lead and teams pass a lot against us. We bring some pressure, Cutler will make mistakes.

So is Randy Moss, Houshmanzadah, Justin Gage, Dwayne Bowe, Chris Chambers. And I almost forgot his game ending pick, out-jumping the 6'6 James Hardy. Need more?

They will likely bring pressure from the outside since Denver loves the bootleg, with Bowens or Barton sitting middle as a spy.

There is no reason we should lose this game. They won't be able to run it, and that pass offense has been misfiring since week 3 of the season. The first 2 games of the season got Cutler insane hype, and that was about it. Picking on DeAngelo Hall should not get you a bust in Canton.

Revis and Ty Law can both shut down their guys, so Marshall and Royal shouldn't be able to do much of anything. Scheffler hasn't done anything in weeks either. The Broncos just got finished getting prison raped by the Raiders about as bad as the Titans got prison raped by us. Asomugha is a hell of a corner, but I don't think Revis compares badly to him at all.
