After scouring orangemane.com i took one thing away from it....the broncos are pissed they lost to the raiders...

i noticed other fans keep underestimating the jets even to now that we lost to the raiders...what a blessing in disguise that was...

but most of them are realistic and say we lost by 3 in OT on the road and they were crushed at home...

they are really pushing the panick button calling for shanahans head and giving up on jay cutler...

after the loss cutler was asked how he felt about it? and he said. "IM OK WITH IT B/C SD LOST TOO"

wow that guys attitude is all wrong and its showing through the fan base....we are gonna stomp these guys they are in a daze

    thoughts?

We were panicking too when we lost to the Raiders, and with good reason. I wouldn't read much into that.

Our attitude has to be "Run the Table" and play every game with the blueprint we have established (especially over the last 2 weeks) and take nothing for granted.

That line right there is the statement of a pussy. the Jets d-line should have a field day teeing off on him and watching him run scared. i cant wait for sunday. first home game since we took down our biggest rival and the only undefeated team in the league back to back. that place better be electric on sunday. :jets:

    bang on!

There's wiggle room at week 5...not week 12. If i was a broncos fan...i'd be pushing the panic button also.

That's the thing about this team though, we don't really have a blueprint. The Pats are kind of like that too but we take it to absolute extremes, possibly because we actually can, and they can't since they don't have a decent RB.

We will just do whatever we need to in order to beat a team. This week, we opened up with a lot of short passes, and mixed in the run to keep them off balance. We used every possible WR. Then, as the game wore on, we just pounded the rock because the Titans D was worn down and turned into a mess, from getting beat up all day by our O-line.

It's possible that blueprint works every game. But it's also equally likely that, against the Broncos, we just become run heavy right from the get go as they can't stop the run. They also can not stop the pass, so we will probably take some deep shots early. We don't need to worry about getting the ball out of Favre's hands as quickly as possible because it really doesn't matter as much.

On defense, we will probably have a tougher time. We will probably play the maddening read and react coverage schemes we always play. Against the Titans, we actually did blitz on a number of occasions, we also got lucky that they dropped a bunch of passes. The Broncos will actually catch the ball.

This one might be a shootout early, but I think again towards the end of the game, we'll just run out clock. I don't know how often the Broncos will touch the ball in the second half.

thats whats great about this team...we have a base idea of what we want to do but are flexible to adapt to every game situation...

in other words...this team is extremely versatile

The Denver scene is pretty down on the Broncos. The Denver media pretty much give Shanahan a free pass, living off the Super Bowl wins of a decade ago. Radio personalities don't think the D is any good (which is true) and they also now think the Cutler hysteria of early in the season was overblown. The media has called out Shanahan for getting rid of Jason Elam, too, which hopefully comes back to bite him again.

My concern is that Cutler will be able to move the ball in the air against our defensive secondary (Royal is good, Marshall is very good but a headcase that can be rattled). Daniel Graham has been getting the ball recently, so our LBs better pick it up in coverage. Their run offense is weak, and their defense is putrid. That said, every time I think the Broncos won't deliver, they do (Cleveland, Atlanta); and everytime I expect them to win, they don't (KC, Oakland). I think that is the mark of an immature team, so we need to get on them early.

We just can't take them lightly, but a good team shouldn't so it should go without saying.

I think this team won't be pissed about the Raiders loss like other teams would get, they are too immature. The same exact gameplan against the Titans will kill this team. Actually, they have no running game, so it will be up to Cutler to throw it 55 times. Keep the ball control offense going and he will stay off the field.

TJ and LW might have 42 carries combined, with Favre only throwing 17-22 times on sunday.

It would be nice to be so far ahead in the 4th qtr that seeing the prevent defense won't bother me.

I think the Broncos' confidence is extremely shaken at this point. I think for Cutler to say the loss to Oakland is okay because San Diego lost also is a good indication of that and completely unacceptable if you're a teamate. As far as Shanahan is concerned, he despises Oakland, always has since he coached there many moons ago and had to tolerate Al Davis' nonsense, so for him to lose such a humiliating and decisive defeat AT HOME to the Raiders right now, with everything on the line, shows you this team has major malfunctions going on. It's an away game for them to boot.

On the other side of the ball, the Jets couldn't be coming off a more confidence-building series of games than the last 7, having won 6 of them, the last two being of such magnitude. Every swinging dick on the team is in on this now (buying into the program that they can win) and will be playing like the champions they know they are and are willing to prove to the world that they are. They're playing for each other now... not as individuals, but as a true team... something I haven't seen in a very, very, VERY long time.

So yes, we're going to win this game. And if we get up on them early and by a significant amount, it's going to get ridiculous.

gotta be careful with Denver....they walked into Atlanta 2 weeks ago and beat the falcons (their first home loss)....any complacency by the Jets could be disastrous.

the point you made about shanahans past with oakland is a good point that i overlooked and it is indicitive of their team falling apart....the broncos are vulnerable right now...however on the flip side of things they are in a must win situation which is never desireable...im only worried that they will play 10x harder to prove a point and play with desperation...

ATL is young and they had one turnover that pretty much meant the game. They aren't the powerhouse the Jets are either. Plus, teams coming West to East are terrible this year.

I think the traveling alone is going to hurt them.

Cutler/Royal/Marshall scare me but I still say we will pound them in the running game to the tune of 200 yards or so. Jets win 34-17

Why are the Broncos in a must win situation? I mean the Chargers lost, too.

    Heh.

I've only seen them on tv twice so far this year, but they seem to have no interior defense, right up the middle. Have they fixed that?

its a must win because the division could be close to locked up with the Pats losing to PIT, but since the Pats are at home I think they win and propel the Jets into the #2 seed for the time being.

The Pats have to have a better division record and conference record to get the division back, and they need to tie the Jets in overall W/L.

So beating Denver is a total must.

EDIT: Just looked at NE's remaining schedule. Maybe PIT should win to knock them further away, their games are easier than ours.
