13-3 or bust? Let's not be silly now.

I'd love to see NE lose in Buffalo. Man, that would be sweet.

New England won't be favored by more than a couple of points against Arizona or Buffalo. Their schedule is no easier than that of the Jets.

Well, OK, I guess 12-4 pretty much locks us in too. At 11-5, particularly if we lose 2 AFC games, we're likely out of the playoffs.

Rothlisberger and Palamalu smell blood in the water. Should be a VERY interesting weekend.

The Jets will be fine at 11-5. Baltimore's not getting to 11 wins. Miami and Buffalo are not winning out, either.

10-6 is where it begins to get dicey.

Ah , how could anyone forget! Parcells basically said go F@#$ yourself O'Donnell and put in Ray Lucas. We almost had it until the lineman while laying out of bounds on the ground stole the game. Or was it the officiating?

The Jets are 3-1 in the division. The cheats are 3-2. If we beat the bills and fish we are 5-1. Even if the cheats beat the bills we are a game up for the tiebreaker. The cheats would need to have a better record than us.

In other words, the cheats should need to win two more games than us from here on out. I don't think that is going to happen.

How are we 'fine' at 11-5? What the hell does 'fine' mean?

I think he means win the division or make the playoffs. It depends on which games we lose, if we win the division games we win all tie-breakers.

But the care should be to win all of the games

    For the # 2 Seed:

    Conference Record
    NE 5-4
    IND 6-3
    NYJ 6-3
    PITT 7-1
    TENN 7-1

The Jets cannot afford to lose another AFC game Obviously they must keep ahead of the Pats (meaning they must do no worst than 3-2 in the 5-week season as posted above) but if they beat Miami & Buffalo they win the Div. If they lose it must be to a NFC team (to simplify matters).

If they do lose to an AFC team they need a (2) Indianapolis losses, especially to the titans but regardless of Conference (like they are going to lose to Detroit) and 3 PITT AFC losses, one especially to the titans. If we seek the higher seed, we all better root for NE hosting PITT this weekend while NYJ MUST beat Denver. I know it sucks.

It is strange, but it benefits the Jets for Tennessee to win out period. Or to lose the next 3 (Go Lions) and beat both Pittsburgh and Indianapolis (unlikely).

Pittsburghs 11-10 victory over SD, Indy has beaten SD too, may loom large if they tie with JETS in Overall and Conference. In week 17, I doubt titans will cooperate

But the care should be to win all of the games ahead and not worry about others. A win over Denver this week is huge- it will be the third playoff-like game in 3 weeks. If you think about it, the NFL season (unlike other sports) is actually a 17 week playoff.
