I know that there are those out there that try to shush all the Superbowl talk(myself included) but when I got to think about it I realized that this is something that very rarely, as JET fans, get the opportunity to do. Couple that with the talk on all the sports talk shows that, now let's be honest, are really starting to take a liking to our dirty little secret about our team. We have a shot. An excellent shot to make a whole bunch of noise in the post Season. That's all. GO JETS!!
Still got to be a bit weary of that trap game coming. But I still feel that this team can go all the way. Great job by Tannenbaum & Great job Mangini as well up to this point.
I would prefer we just focus on a first round bye (first or second seed) in the playoffs. That is something that is real and can be measured from the vantage point of today. Beyond that, in the last two weeks of the playoffs you usually have some well matched teams, and it's very easy to get disappointed. Indeed it is very likely you will be disappointed if you start counting those chickens.
Think what you will but I know I've earned it. I've put my fair share of time and money in support of this team for nearly 30 years. When I do the math on that I feel I've earned it. And as far as the trap game theory I get it. But don't you think they may have already played it and I believe since that trap game we seem to have gotten our s**t together.
i think weve gotten to the point as a team and as fans where instead of hoping we can pull off a win like at the patriots or at undefeated tennessee we now "expect" to win....this is the most exciting feeling us as jet fans could have...the media hype now also adds to the excitement....8-3..people talking ny ny superbowl J!E!T!S! The encouraging thing with this team is that they are getting better every week. If the offensive line continues to progress and we don't get any significant injuries (JENKINS) then the sky is the limit. My signature says it all...Superbowl Champs baby!!!
take your pick: 8-3 and talking/dreaming about the superbowl 3-8 and arguing over who we should target in the draft (or as brett said, looking forward to next year)

I agree, I understand you shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves and as a life long jet fan I punish myself whenever I think about seeing the jets in a superbowl this year, but come on. They need to throw us a bone here, if not now then when? That is my motto for this year, because really, if not now, when?:jets:

lol i love when people get smug an say things like this...first of all you know what he meant...second of all if any fan lives and dies with a team and this season is happening then "we" have earned it... i guess people that arent really die hards dont quite get that.
you have.... and this guy doesnt get that because "he" isnt part of the "we" that you are referring to... whenever someone makes comments like that it simply means to me they call themselves die hards but dont quite get what that actually means...most likely they do follow the team closely but don't truely care what happens either way... read my above post
