This has been a coaching issue since last before last season began. You can argue that the personnel decisions have been weak also, but only up until the moment that Brett Favre fell in their laps. At that point all the free agents and 2 for 1's in the draft suddenly contributed to their chances this year instead of primarily detracting from their chances down the road. To sum it up, this team is just not playing anywhere near the level they should be and that's true going back to last September. The 2007 roster was a weak roster but it was 7-9 weak, not 4-12.
It was pretty weak. Clarke - Starting LG - No longer on an NFL team. Clement - Starting RT - No longer on an NFL team. Hobson - Starting OLB - No longer on an NFL team. Robertson - Starting NT - Rotating for a shit NFL defense and not starting. Barret - Starting CB - Dime back/3rd string S Most of that is in the trenches too. 3 guys couldn't even make 2nd or 3rd string for any other NFL team started for us last year in key trench positions. Our NT from last season is not starting on a shit defense. Our 2nd CB is dime back behind a rookie and a vet that gets cut more often than I get my hair cut.
I 100% agree with everything you have said in this post. Said thing is, this isn't a message board to post thoughts and give knowledgable insight on the game. This message board is about kissing the moderator's ass and other popular people who post. I think most of the people who post on here are whiny little bitches, but the one thing we all have in common is our passion for the Jets. It doesn't make a difference if your 80 or 8 (I'm 32 by the way). We all suffer when they lose, we feel like we lose. I still remember what my father said to me after the lTesterverde went down. "Son, I feel so bad I made you a Jets fan. Your going to suffer your entire life with this team and your kids will too." Thanks Dad, I'm expecting my 1st child in 3 weeks and he's probably right. The difference between 4-12 and 7-9 was poor quarterback play, particularly in the first half of the season.

Zero, zippo, nothing except at 7-9 U get a draft pick more towards the end of the 1st round of the draft whereas at 4-12 you get a draft pick closer to the beginning of the draft. U also get a slightly easier schedule as a 4-12 team as U assigned to play the last place teams in the 2 AFC divisions we are not playing that year
So then U get the 3rd place schedule. Supposedly still easier then the 1st place schedule. That is how we got the Titans as they & us both finished 3rd in our divisions last year
They woke up and learned how to finish a game. The young people and the old fool need to keep this up to continue the success. I still want a better DC. You wanna see the 2000 Ravens? Get me a non-Bob Sutton.
