Im just curious how they went 10-0 when their secondary couldnt cover anyone without holding or interfering with them.... admittedly I havent seen a single Tenn game this year, but it's clear to me, they are going to be in trouble the last 2 weeks of the season. I fully expect that the Steelers will be fighting tooth and nail with the Jets for the 2 seed at that point, and pittsburgh can do exactly what the Jets did to them today. and the following week they get Indy who will likely be playing for their playoff lives, desperately needing a victory to get into to the postseason. what this means is, that I fully expect Tennesee to finsh up at best 14-2, and most likely 13-3 and an outside shot at 12-4. so if they finish up 13-3, that means we are all but garunteed a top 2 spot...
Look at their schedule! They beat Jacksonville twice, Jacksonville scares NO ONE. they beat the Colts who ARE NOT the Colts team they were 2 years ago. They've beaten the likes of Cincinnati, Houston, Minnesota, KC and Green Bay. The only team worthy of even mentioning besides the Colts have been the Ravens who have a rookie QB in Joe Flacco. They play in one of the weakest divisions in The NFL. They played a team in arguably the Best or 2nd best division in the NFL, depending on who you ask> In our beloved JETS, they came up against a REAL contender a REAL team. I've been saying all along to anyone who would listen outside of this board, that The JETS could beat Tennessee, I just didn't know it would be THIS EASY. They totally dominated The OTHER Titans and the JETS are on a roll, like a snowball going down hill and gaining momentum. They JETS SHOULD be 10 - 1, they blew it against the Patriots the 1st time around and the Raiders. We got our asses handed to us by a WEAK SD Charges team. The NEXT 5 games are NOT guaranteed wins but this team WILL go 13 - 3 or 12 - 4 I believe IF we lose another game it'll come against an AFC East opponent.
Look. Even with all their woes in secondary today, it's still foolish to call their secondary suspect. Their starting CB, Nick Harper, wasn't even dressed today. In his place was a third stringer Chris Carr, who Brett picked on all day long, and rightfully so. *Remember the PI call on 4th down?* Don't expect to see this again when Nick comes back. We just lucked out on that one, I can tell you.
The way they played against the JETS today they WILL NOT win against the Steelers, HOWEVER, The Steelers have a porous OL and if that front 7 gets at Rothlesberger (sp), they can and will beat the Steelers.
It doesn't matter who they have or haven't beaten. They didn't beat the Jets. To go 10-0 is pretty fucking good regardless of what div you're in. To pull of 10 straight wins is a pretty huge task no matter what.
